i seen something worse today in my own game, keep level 3 we came across a really tough pack of those things that bust through walls. The wd used his resurrect ability twice and the wizard was under 5 % health before narrowly escaping.

btw I was never close to dying. Stacking more and more regen, now at 1680/s. Its so powerful, much better than loh imo since when you need to run and therefore need it the most its still active.

So finally I cleared act 3 today. To begin with we were 2 monks and a DH. We lost the DH early on to jailor desecrator archane flying mobs at the catapult trebuchet mission.
I think its pretty clear that monk and barb are the strongest hc classes at this time.

i would argue witch doctors are the best with their immortal pets. i haven't played in a while so not really sure though

witch doctors also have get out of jail free ability. Probably they are the best at survival

Prepatch I played with a WD friend, and warcry made his pets virtually unstoppable in A1. Well... the dps still sucked, but they tanked everything. Now...

I don't know much about wd's and I don't see many of them. For act 3 and 4 I think Monk > Barb >>wizard>DH not knowing how to rate WD. If you just want to farm act 1 quickly I guess a WW barb and DH are fastest, in later acts they are just going to die with that playstyle/gear.

New WD pets are immortal. With jungle fortitude (-20% damage) and using zombie dogs with life link rune (-10% damage) it effectively gets the damage reduction of melee characters. But it also has invulnerable escape spell and cheat death passive. The problem of course is that WD is annoying and only appeals to the small set of people who like annoying characters

I wouldn't use life link personally. It just kills your dogs faster and in situations where you want to escape you want your pets to keep the mobs engaged so they don't follow you. Esp if they have vortex or fast.

Diablo is dead and every mission is completed. Diablo himself was easy but we came very close to dying against a champion pack(molten archane vortex extra health) right before him. Now maybe I can quit this timesink of a game

My monk profile.

anyone playing DH in a1+? Having the hardest time figuring out a build. I'm doing shock collar/BL with the standard 3 but keep shuffling on my last slot. Tried stampede, dark cloud, gloom, caltrops+x, chem burn, everything seems pretty meh or I wind up not using it. Nothing hurts me much in A1 so thats not a big problem but I do wind up needing battle scars about once an hour.

sp gloom worked best for me, even though i was very tempted to use stampede/bat. it makes fighting reflect dmg packs easier and it's a great extra "oh **** button". situations where you are trapped (waller usually) you can ss but it will only be 1.5s. hit that and after 1s hit gloom and then ss again when the cool down is up (or when gloom is about to end). it's also very good for faster packs (frogs in a1 that are naturally fast). they are going to get melee hits on you usually whether you like it or not, so having gloom will help a lot against that. it's the safest option imo, but might not be a good choice if you are running <50 disc

got a 580 Loh, 12% Life amulet. Looks like it might be my first 1M+ HC item

Unfortunately I can't find anything online about how WD skills work with LoH. So I decide to do some testing... well problem is that before you can do any analysis of the little green numbers popping up over your character you have to take damage first... so I walk up to a nice white zombie to take a hit or two and almost die. Ya, brilliant plan Bremen.

Conclusion: LoH doesn't work well with WD.

Here is all you need to know about WD LOH:

1) Rain of Toads is pretty good.
2) A single cast of Acid Cloud/Acid Rain will heal 9 zillion HP.

Well, that was a little bit scary. Almost lost my barb from my internet going out.

I had just finished fighting 4 trees + an elite pack of cultists with molten/arcane + a bunch of random goatmen and about 2 seconds after killing the elite pack my cable dropped.

Logged in to fortunately see my barb is still alive.

He has ~6,000 elites killed and at the time of DC'ing I had both armor sets on me (one without MF, one with MF). I don't swap anymore and just run with my MF set full time in A1 but I swap into my non-MF gear for the butcher just to be safe.

It's nothing too godly but it's a good amount of gear. About 53k HP, 1050+ AR, 11k armor, 24% block and 14k DPS in the non-MF set. MF set loses 15k HP, 300 AR, 1k armor with similar DPS but gains 120% MF.

I almost lost my monk last night farming/leveling a2 inferno. I got surrounded by an elite pack with arcane. I fired dashing strike to get out of there at least 6 times and it went nowhere. Near death experience fired and I somehow managed to get ds to work and escaped. Ive since switched to tempest rush and the skill rubber bands me constantly when trying to get out from the middle of a pack. This is basically how I lost my last lvl 60 monk being stuck and my skills not working.

Yeah, this rubberbanding was causing me problems too, but its still almost a must to have tempest rush especially in late act 3 and act 4 where you get mirror imaging phasebeasts and other mobs with a large footprint. You just have to have something to escape surrounds.

omg Thank You!

Got vortexed into a pack of dark berserkers. Drop acid rain and never blinked. Whereas before... well I was having enough trouble killing things that weren't dark beserkers.

Also found this https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...zT3RvM1E#gid=0 which has some WD LoH information. Although 1.0.4 did change some things, like fire pit.

I just got disconnected farming act 2 inferno. My group saved me, so i live another day. Now I am scared to play. It takes like 20-30 seconds it seems for a disconnected player to leave the game....Im paragon lvl 24, its going to hurt so much when that day comes.
