Me: wizard (first hc), lvl 53, 16.5k dps, still alive-brag

my monk died on act 1 inferno, 10k dps... think it was against fast + fire chain + jailer

My paragon 16 WD died like 3 weeks ago...

Me and my buddy were farming A3 and it was 2 in the morning, we were both really tired having played all day lol. My WW barb friend asked me if I wanted to do the Ice cavern since there is a garanteed resplendent chest on second floor, wich I replied ''lolol yes WW op faceroll lul''

we were so wrong

First elite pack, charging beasts from A1, we decide to immediatly engage them without looking at their affixes since we had been crushing A3 so hard. Worst decision ever; arcane, waller, frozen and teleporter (or some minor variation... point is it was a **** nasty combo). We were also fighting them in a really tight corridor. I get roflstomp charged and spirit vessel procs instantly as I try to get close for zbears spam. At this point Spiritwalk/SH is still on CD because I pop it whenever I can if there is no mob to get things done quicker. My barb bubby immediatly backs off with WOTB on and so do I.

And then things gets really ugly. While backing off, there is one minion who teleports right on my friend, blocking the exit way. I get trapped behind, no spirit vessel, no spirit walk and with about 15% HP left. I can't do nothing. I start panicking. I spam the **** out of the Q key. My friends tries to help but he's also low on health.

..and then I die... there was 2 seconds left on that key spirit walk.

Lost about 50m worth of gear so it's not really bad. Probably will roll a WW barb very soon

wat you use spiritwalk to move quicker on HC? That sounds risky

and he was pretty tilted he gave me 35m legendary pants 3 hours before LOL. He kept saying ''why didnt you drop my pants'' lol yeah like this was the only thing going trough my mind

and yeah I probably deserve the death for not being cautious enough

I've taken one hardcore death so far. First character in act 4 normal, over leveled, over geared, disconnected next to 3 enemies, gg. No glorious story. My character died standing still in the middle of a demonic invasion of the heavens.

Just cleared HC inferno on my second character though. I'm in the process of leveling a monk right now and I'll probably do a DH once I can convince a few of my friends to play HC and tank for me lol.

but clearing hc is not much of an accomplishment anymore, on this blizzard messed up

Agreed. I'm a softcore refugee though. You think hardcore sucks now? Try softcore. Hardcore is the last bastion of fun left in this game.

I've had a level 60, 50ish, and 40ish wizard die, all before 1.03, and 2 of them from lag/disconnect.

The funniest way I died was after a month of not playing. I loaded up the game and died within 1 minute, sigh. I was in act 1 of hell about to enter the area with the beasts that charge. I did not equip several items for some reason and was badly equipped, well I got 1-shotted.

Now that it's 1.05, I just beat Diablo inferno two days ago on my 60 wizard, woot! Not quite the achieve a 1.03 would have been, but it felt good nonetheless.

Level 59 WD died stupidly attempting Hell A3 end on MP8.

Was my first HC death. Not sure if happy or sad that it was entirely out of my control.

welp just lost my first ever hardcore character. paragon 13 witch doctor.

fighting frozen/arcane elites in act 3. lag monster arrives and i get frozen. i spirit walk out of it and start to run away but get rubberbanded back into the mess and spirit vessel pops. try to run away again while mashing potion but nothing is moving except me so i know it's all over. when the game finally catches up i'm dead in the same spot. never had a chance. awesome.

and i had just bought a few upgrades after not playing HC for a while... bleh
