Words can't adequately express how hyped I am for this game.

I don't even really play video games anymore. But Halo has always held a special place in my heart. In 2000, we linked 4 Xboxes together and had a 16 player team CTF match on Sidewinder for Halo: CE.

I was in college when Halo 2 came out, living in campus apartments. One of our friends worked at Best Buy and was able to score Halo 2... THREE whole days before the official release. We got drunk and took turns playing through the story (on Legendary, obv) and stayed up all night into the morning and blew off class until the game was beaten.

Then we played online, and discovered that the nature of gaming had changed, forever.

Halo 3 was a great game that closed the story, and as far as the story is concerned (which is important to me), they really should have ended it right there. This was 2007, and it was the last truly GREAT Halo game. But Halos 4 and 5 were still money making games, and though it wasn't pure to the story, I still enjoyed playing them.

Here is the cinematic trailer for E3 that was released in 2019.

Really tugs at the heartstrings.

...I'm pumped.

Here is the live action trailer featuring actual GAMEPLAY! With some cool new weapons and equipment:

The automatic shotgun. The grapple hook. Some Covenant red plasma thingy.

O. M. G. SOOOOOoooooo hyped!

I don't even own an Xbox One, I still have the 360 and never upgraded, from lack of playing games.

I'm starting a new job next month. From then on, I'm saving up, and when this new console and this new game drops Holiday 2021, I'm getting a new TV to complete the setup, and I'll be READY!

And, since this is my thread, I thought I'd include my favorite music from the Halo canon.

If some 18th century composer came up with this song here, I'd still consider it an incredible piece of music. Epic biblical title, also.

I can't tell if that instrument is a saxophone (most likely), or maybe an oboe, or perhaps even a clarinet. But when it hits, those mournful notes speak to your SOUL. From ODST, which was an otherwise forgettable game. But it's got a mellow jazz feel to it:

The title holder for my favorite song from Halo 2 is either this banger, or the Mombasa Suite, which is similar. But it's too great not to be included here:

And, in conclusion, the all time most classic BANGER that gets me JUICED to go grab a sniper right off the spawn and start no-scoping chumps... The Warthog Run:

The best place for updates on Halo: Infinite's progress is the Halo Waypoint site, direct from 343 Industries.

I'll be checking in frequently... see y'all there!

Nice...was happy and pleasantly surprised to see this thread was made.

The flight test last month was pretty fun. Looks and sounds amazing. Don't think I'll be very good at it, but nonetheless can't wait.
