I think rockstar are aiming to do that, they want a huge world that has a lot of stuff to do rather than big empty spaces. I think GTA:SA did this quite well tbh, it was huge at the time but you were always 'somewhere' or there was always something to do.

screenshots look ****ing amazing. literally going to lock myslef in my room for a month with nothing but gta 5 on release

I just hope the gameplay will be closer to GTA SA than to GTA4. I've always liked the GTAs that feel a bit arcade ish the most.

As long as the shooting aspects are like GTA4, then sure for the rest.

Those pics are so sick. The fighter jets one launches my missile.

lol yeah I know people hated the way the aim worked in the PS2 GTAs. I never had much problems with it, you just had to choose your positioning well. So often you are dropped in the middle of a gun fight with randoms thrown in and in such situations it sucked monkey balls, but you just had to run away in those situations and pick a better spot to fight from. But obv GTA IVs system was better on the shooting aspect . I just didn't like the car handling in IV very much. GTA shouldnt be about paying tons of attention to controling your car, but about using your car to cause some ****.

I really liked the car handling in 4, the more realism the better imo, that goes for all the aspects of the game

I liked the driving too and there were certainly improvements (like crashing into people, never been more fun!), but when **** got real it just took away from the game too much. Realism is good for realistic games but I like GTA more when it's this little bit crazy version of realism where it seems like the whole police force/army/mob/whatever is chasing you, and in those moments it really sucked that you would just crash into something because of the added realism in the controls.

Anyway, new trailer in 3h45m!

you can watch it on rockstar's official site and you get the bonus of not having to listen to greg miller's obnoxious voice.

Was hoping they'd be more specific with the release date in the trailer.

Definitely pumped for this!

I like the vibe this is giving, feels a bit sopranos-ish. Free roaming stuff looks epic too. Hope you can ride a car out of a jet whenever you want and not just in one mission .

Read that they're not even thinking about a PC version at the moment, so now I have to get a console to play this.

Totally worth it. That's looks incredible.

Those "jokes" ("we 'bounce' now?" and "you all need therapy" or whatever) are straight out of a mediocre 2005 comedy trailer. I can picture the exact moments when the old people in the audience would laugh.

If you're US it wont be that expensive, I'm going to guess there will be a GTA PS3 pack for 250 bucks or something like that, xbox might even be cheaper. Europe will be 250 euros most likely because we always get screwed .

GTA has always done self-aware over the top stuff. That is most likely what they are going for.

and thats why GTA is so amazing...

even more excited after the trailer, the world looks incredible and 110% more interactive then it ever has been. Characters look awesome, story line definitely seems great as well.
