Cops n crooks was the GOAT multiplayer game. Once glitchers took over the game died. I really hope V has a new variant of this game.

I can't ****ing wait for this much longer!

Rumored plot and details.

Spoiler:

You play as Albert DeSilva, a half-American, half-Puerto Rican

He is 42 years old, and has an ex-wife and two kids

The show Breaking Bad has a little influence on the game, as Albert is drawn to the life of crime from an older age for the money

You also play as Dougie Vejo, a younger criminal just coming up in Los Santos

Los Santos is the only large city, smaller towns round out the countryside

Grove Street makes a return, however Carl and Sweet are not in the game

Money plays a large part as Albert lost most of his in a ponzi-like scheme

Property buying is back

The only customisation for characters is clothes/hair/facial hair. No gyms or tattoos

One or more characters from GTA IV may show up

Car customisation is back

The triumphant return of Lovefist! (Or as the band is now known, “The Jezzies”)

Songs confirmed so far: My Michelle from Guns and Roses, Magic Power by Triumph, California Dreaming from The Beach Boys and Beautiful by Snoop Dogg featuring Pharrell

New mini games include golf, tennis and surfing

Mission played was called “Alimony”, featured the scene from the trailer in which they rob the jewelry store

Robbery returns only for Dougie, dispensaries are a large source of cash income

You can switch between Albert and Dougie by holding down the back button (360)

Game autosaves at that point

Stinger makes a return

Speculated not confirmed: Aziz Ansari voices radio DJ for current hip-hop station

It took a while to get used to but I kinda enjoyed the challenge of driving that IV had to offer. I'm down for a change though.

Red Dead Redemption was so much better once I realized you should turn off the stupid auto-aim. Much more enjoyable. I don't know if GTA4 had that option, but I wish I'd known about it if it did.

it did. I played through the game again once i realised you could turn it off.

I hope they keep the driving the same. Playing stuff like Sleeping Dogs lately made me realise how much more enjoyable thew driving in GTA was.

The driving took bait of getting used to but I found that I could actually drive faster and longer than I could in SA

Obviously I'm not surprised, but I'm still pissed they won't have co-op campaign ala Saints Row.

18 page reveal in game informer coming either today or tomorrow depending on where you live. Game informer's editor has tweeted that the rumours I posted are all bull****.

The issue is only available digitally as of now, and only on certain mobile devices. Here's a video with some screens:

If they can pull all that off then wow. The player switch option could be handy if you find yourself without a vehicle in the middle of nowhere, just switch over and away you go again while the original character makes his own way back. I hope the bank robberies (and other missions for that matter) give you some kind of freedom of execution, one thing that got old for me was the whole "drive to mission, cutscene, got to blue dot, cutscene, kill all the red dots, cutscene". Let us figure stuff out for ourselves please.
Also I saw that they're tweaking the driving, hopefully not too much, as said lots of times, the driving in IV was great, I don't want it to be too easy again as it was in SA. And jfc, bigger than IV, RDR and SA combined? Could spend months just doing nothing but exploring the map

I kinda doubt there's gonna be much letting us "figure stuff out for ourselves". Indications seem to be getting closer to something like Uncharted during missions. Heavily scripted events that lamely attempt to look spontaneous. This annoyed the hell out of me in GTA4, and I've written about it here a bunch of times. There would be a mission like "chase down this guy on a motorcycle and kill him". You would follow him for a while, shooting at him etc. Eventually you come to a point where a cut-scene plays (you narrowly avoid a subway train or something), and it's back to trying to kill the guy.

The thing is, it turns out he was completely invincible before that cut-scene (and there are several examples of this type of thing). Rockstar wants you to go on a wild goose chase for a while so that they can try to control the pacing and show you some "cool", action movie-y scripted events. In my opinion this is usually a mistake in video games. The joy should be in the wild things that happen randomly, or that you make happen with a large number of options; not in Rockstar thinking they're cinematic geniuses - especially with a series ostensibly built with the idea of freedom in mind.

I remember some GTA3 or Vice City mission that I found very difficult. Finally, on a replay, as I'm bearing down on him a bus randomly pulls out in front of the car, making him careen off the side of the road and die in the water. Those, to me, are the interesting moments in games.

with regards to figuring stuff out, there are secret missions to be discovered, e.g. your out in the desert and find 2 cars surrounded by dead bodies, you have to investigate it...

I agree to cut out the cinematc bull**** tho, nothing more frustrating than being mid pursuit and then "booom cut-scene motherfcuker, oh you thought you were going to be able to shoot him, tough luck", was pretty annoying in GTA:SA and that was pretty minimal iirc.

everything so far about the game looks incredible, my only complaint is that we aren't going to be able to buy property which considering map size is frustrating. I'd like to see some kind of empire/business management aspect of the game. I kinda think this is how the classic chasing the american dream should end and is how it happened in vice city and SA.

A while ago i was watching a vid on utube discussing recent rumours, according to that it takes 15 minutes of driving to get from within the city to outside of it.

EDIT: jst looked at a few things, albeit there isnt a 'property market' as such but there is going to be an economy which shud offer lots of end game fun.

RDR felt to me like a big empty world with pretty scenery and a few random encounters that got repetitive pretty quickly, apart from the towns. So now let's see how they do populating a much bigger world with interesting things to do. /negativity

Every GTA game I have played non stop for about 2 weeks before becoming bored and having no motivation to touch it again.

I think they should stop focusing on the crappy mini games and gimmicks (buying houses and all that crap) and just build an awesomely massive map with loads of different cars and good music.
