I've done like 2 missions in 5 hours. Keep getting distracted.

Been playing the last 10 hours or so, and just died in a blimp explosion. What kind of moron uses hydrogen in a blimp? Did they learn nothing from the Hindenburg?

That must be my cue for bedtime.

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

Who is Dave (the fbi guy)? Whats his history with Michael?

I kind of auto piloted through an hour of gameplay and missed how he was introduced, and now im starting the first mission with him, dead man walking.

if anyone could answer in a spoiler i would be grateful.

Swapped out for a new copy at WalMart.

Still freezing at the end of the first mission.

Got my copy at 8:45am this morning at Target. Didn't preorder, just walked in and got a copy. They had plenty of copies. Gotta work till 5 though and have homework to do and school tomorrow. Sigh..

UPS website says my copy is waiting at work...where I will probably be until 1am with no time to play for like 4 days, so that's fun

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

Grabbed a copy at Future Shop this morning at 8am and it's been sitting here on my desk since - torture, I should have left it in the car. Out of sight out of mind, right?

Another hour and fifty and I can finally get out of here and fire this thing up.

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

I didn't preorder @ EBGames, but they had it for $30 off today, only 59.99 CDN instead of 89.99. Also, I got the blimp code anyway, maybe they gave me the wrong copy.

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

They'll probably release a crappy port out in 6-12 months like GTA IV. I think it's more an issue if a great game comes out on PC and not console because those things are so cheap in comparison.

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

I am terrible at this game. I can't sneeze without the cops jumping on my nuts and half the time I can't lose them. It took me like 10 minutes in the tow truck and when I did I was immediately notified that I had failed the mission??? I've only done a few missions but I'm not getting a coherent story out of this yet. It feels like they've been influenced by saints row. This is the first GTA since part two that I'm not insta addicted to

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

I found evading the cops a lot of the time you need to burn away until radar stops full on flashing red/blue, then find somewhere to hide like small alleyway. just avoid the cops vision on radar. Had a tough one where they had a chopper on me at night, big searchlight always pointing me out lol that was tough to escape! I don't think towtruck (with Tonya?) required getting cop aggro? I didn't see the popup properly on that one and it took me forever to figure out how to wind the hook up and down!

Just returned from WalMart AGAIN.

This makes no ****ing sense.

Perfect 3/3 installs using Disc 1 but Disc 2 has frozen all 3 times.

Surely this has to be some sort of console error or something R* has to patch, right?

PS: I have a 360 Premium with a 20GB HD. Have had very minimal problems in the past with freezing.

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

Have you always been installing disc 2? there was a link upthread saying don't do this. sorry, don't remember if installing disc 2 was a measure to try and stop the freezing or not.

I just swam half way across the Pacific Ocean to lose a 4 star wanted level. It was totally worth it.

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

GF surprises me and picks up my copy at gamestop while I am at work. She then tells me, "don't forget its my mom's bday and we have to go out for it tonight"

noooooooooo!!!!!

the question is, do I thank her for getting me the game and go out for her moms bday OR thank her for getting me the game and break up with her for the night so I can play it?
