Re: GTA V - releases September 17

I've been playing GTA4 for the first time recently and it's pretttty meh. Driving blows and the game progresses too slowly and doesn't have the same feel as previous GTAs. It's gotten better than it was during the first couple hours, but still not a huge fan.

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

DL Ballad of Gay Tony, quicker paced story, no friends annoying you, more of the crazy

Online reveal gotta be this week or next I guess, I mean the games out in a month. What do you think will be included, it can't just be IV's MP rehashed. There'll probably be a lot more availability to co-op/vs in activities (golf/tennis tourneys, triathlons, hunting/treasure quests maybe), social media integration (taking ingame pics/videos and sharing, rating in the social club). The story could well end up being the smallest part of the package

I don't know but I recall reading something about GTA V "revolutionizing multiplayer."

And yeah, both of the DLCs are better than GTA IV, especially TBoGT.

Is there ANY chance that Rockstar caps this all off with an announcement that you can play the game co-op with friends?

I'm obviously guessing not but one can dream...

Don't try to shoot the boat at all, he's invincible and you just need to keep up until a scripted rocket hits your chopper.

How well did you do in Yusuf's mission where you have to steal the helicopter? That one took me forever to get past. It was okay for me until I had to chase down the 3 smaller ones. The controls on the PC version made that one almost impossible.

Passed it, took around 10 attempts though....once I went into 1st person mode (lol at not doing this earlier) it became much easier

Because I'm an idiot who didn't want to re-map the controls too much, I had my right pinky on the [left shift] while controlling with WSAD, then the other pinky on the left mouse button while controlling the helicopter with my other digits on the number pad. Both my pinky's were holding those down the entire time while I did my best not to crash while still aiming at those damn boats. If there wasn't mid-mission checkpoints, I'd have given up long before.

I had a graphics issue (booted into PC from a Mac to play this) and could either not finish "No. 1" or I couldn't even start it. I had to d/l a saved game to progress.

Re: GTA V - releases September 17

I wouldn't say that was an 'announcement' let alone an 'outting', it seems like he was just assuming that at some point GTA 5 will be out on PC and it'll be graphically advanced so some PC gamers may have to upgrade or optimize. Although I could be (and hope I'm) wrong.

Anyone want to speculate as to minimum/recommended specs?

I would imagine it would be similar (but better) than SRIV

Quote:
Minimum:

OS: Windows Vista (x86 or x64) with SP2
Processor: Any Quad Core Processor (Intel Core i5 or AMD Phenom II X4) or 3.0+ Dual Core CPU
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 10 GB HD space
Video Card: 1GB Video RAM GPU w/ Shader
DirectX: 11
Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0C compliant sound card or equivalent onboard sound

Recommended:

OS: Windows Vista (x86 or x64) with SP2
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 (4 * 2500 MHz) or AMD Phenom 9850 (4 * 2500 MHz)
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 10 GB HD space
Video Card: Radeon HD 5850 (1024 MB) or GeForce GTX 260 GTS (1024 MB)
DirectX: 11
Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0C compliant sound card or equivalent onboard sound

I think comparing it to Max Payne 3 is probably more accurate since it's uses the same engine.

Fair point, I didn't know it was the same engine, but then it is a year old. This might be more relevant:

Was gonna sell my PS3 because I never, ever play video games anymore. But I guess I have to keep it just for this game.
