Re: GTA V - Heists taking place up in hurrr

When I played GTA 3 on PC, I used a controller for driving portions of the game and mouse/keyboard for walking portions. Driving with the keyboard and aiming with the controller were so bad that I really had to switch it up.

How is the control on the PC for GTA 5?

Still downloading but I think I'm going to use a controller. That's how I've always played GTA, and I generally suck with a mouse and keyboard.

Re: GTA V - Heists taking place up in hurrr

I played all the GTAs after GTA 3 on Xbox 360, but they had auto-aim by then. IIRC, GTA 3 on the PC did not have auto aim, which made the controller sub-optimal. I'd assume that GTA 5 has auto-aim, so I'll probably end up using a controller also.

I suppose I should finish GTA 4 one day also.

Meh. The last few missions in iv aren't anything special. Just skip it and stick with 5 going forward. Can't wait for some killer mods to come out. Word is somebody wants to mod it to the old west and essentially do a mini sequel to red dead

Re: GTA V - Heists taking place up in hurrr

Aiming with the controller still sucks in Multiplayer. I really need aim assist to compete with anyone using a Mouse/KB when it comes to gunfights. Luckily in SP and missions it's enabled so it's no big deal.

Re: GTA V - Heists taking place up in hurrr

Did my first heists last night, real good fun.

Was with randoms and was still good. Would be much better with ppl with mics tho.

Got about 300k for the 1 setup and 1 final mission I did.

How does working with mics actually work in the pc version? Connect via Skype before entering the game?

there's ingame voice chat, you can hear either the whole session (so up to 30 people I believe?) or just your friends or/and crew. Or no one, if you want.

How do you turn everyone off?? I spend half my time in freemode muting idiots shouting down their mic, playing their crap music through a kinect or having lengthy conversations unaware there are 29 other people listening in

press m and there scroll down to option that changes the default

man, heists are great, I just did my first one as leader with some random and it went fine, 169k cut including first time bonus, just loving it. I can't wait till I get a crew (remember to send invites, it's still basically me and Kowalski even though we didn't play together yet because he's a lolmerican in another timezone pretending to be polish - my user is mashpl)

So glad it's baseball season. Once the kids go to bed have about two hours of baseball on the xbox while I play gta on the comp. Good times.

Welcome to the world of gta online. It's been like this since the 360 days. Xbone is no different. Must be on the same ****ty servers or something

You'll spend more time staring at clouds (loading screens) than actually playing the game most times. And good luck finding people to join ****. Chances are you'll wait for people to join, one or two might join then they'll leave. Then you quit and stare at more clouds. I gave up on gta online. It's just about the worst experience ever. How they don't have a joinable server list or game browser with active games like every other ****ing game out there is mind boggling.

Re: GTA V - Heists taking place up in hurrr

You've must have had a charmed life if you consider this the worst experience ever. I can't ****in believe how fun this game is. Yeah online can be tilting with load times etc. but if you get a good group of friends in the same game session the loading is significantly quicker.

The part that I don't understand however is that there is no option to pick a specific map/mode from the next map screen. Like if you don't get one you want after hitting refresh, you're basically ****ed into going back to freeplay and starting over. You also can't choose to host a game which is tilting, and you can't create a private session if you're already in a multiplayer session - you can only do it from single player. These things can and will hopefully be patched in the future, though.

That said, worst experience ever? Not even close. Multiplayer makes the game.

Fine

*worst online gaming experience

You must be lucky to not have to deal with getting put in a public lobby by yourself without your friends, constant disconnects, server timeouts, staring at clouds, trying to get back into the game with your friends, more loading, then actually playing a game with friends and then getting booted again to a separate lobby with no one or back to single player. The **** happens like every time I attempt to play gta online. I want to like it and enjoy it but it's just too much of a hassle.

Oh and good luck trying to play heists with randoms if none of your friends are online. It'll take like 20 minutes just to get 4 people in a game if it's not the final heist and once you do get it going you'll always have a **** tard who keeps on dieing or someone who quits immediately and ruins it for everyone. And then rinse and repeat. Oh look more loading and staring at clouds and more waiting to try again.

How is all that fun again?

I can join a 64 player game in an instant on battlefield 4 but it takes 20 minutes to attempt to play a game with 4 players in gta? LOL

Im not having near the problems A Guy is. Everything seems to run pretty smoothly.

Im able to keep a crew together pretty easily throughout an entire heist

I mean it's been a month since I've played. Maybe some issues have been ironed out but I kinda doubt it.
