Just picked up my copy for PS4. Gonna check it out in a few mins. I haven't played any GTA since SA so this should be fun.

Evil_Trev if you want to add me.

havent played GTA since liberty city or the miami vice one (whichever came out later) and that first person trailer was jaw-dropping.

There's a lot of familiarity that was expected but so far I'm impressed. Trying to get 100% completion is going to be damn near impossible for me.

this got me to pick it back up for 360 and am close to 50%. is it worth it at all to get it for my xb1 if i don't really plan on playing online that much? i mean i'd basically just be buying it for the 1st person view and better gfx right?

That sounds about right. Only reason I picked it up is because I haven't played the game before. So I don't think its worth full retail price on a game you've already played through.

There's a couple more side mission arcs too, probably still doesn't justify it though if you're just playing SP. Maybe down the line when more SP DLC drops

Anyone get this for PS3 and then again for PS4? I'm a sucker, and this game was amazing, so I'll probably end up doing it eventually on the cheap... just wondering if anyone has any comparisons.

i have this for 360. Thought it was ok, worth the full price i paid but I had to force myself to finish it. Never really messed around with multiplayer.

I'll definitely pick it up on PC though. I never played much of 4 until graphics mods on PC made it awesome looking. expecting the same for 5, plus first person looks like a legit update making it worth another play through.

I have .. graphics are noticeably better first person mode can be cool . I haven't played any story yet just play online

Loading times (online) are slower and the Map is worse

No the map is slightly different as in its harder to know how close other players are on the map when online (For me anyway) minor gripe I guess

Few other gimmicky add-ons like neon lights on cars etc, I personally would only recommend buying it again if you already enjoyed playing a lot online, not for new content

Are you not able to get that overworld map in single player mode?

I must say, driving around on a motorcycle in first person mode is just fantastic.

Got my PS4 and the remastered GTAV on Friday, but didn't get a chance to play until Monday.

And since 12/1, almost all that I've done is play this game. It's the best looking game I've ever played by far and probably the most fun game I've ever played since the old NES-NES64 days. I've never played an Open-World game where I just walked/ran/swam/flew/drove around just for the hell of it. And I've done SOOO much of that. Usually, I do most of the story mode, all the side stuff, finish the story, then I'm done until I decide to do a replay 6 months or so later.

I'm about 74% overall, just finished the "Drop off the guys truck of cars" mission. I figure after I get access to Michael again, I'll finish the rest of the side stuff.

Don't know how this played on PS3, but I have yet to have 1 glitch or issue as far as gameplay and whatnots. The graphics are remarkable in every way. In fact, there is almost nothing I haven't liked. I'd give the game a 95% just because the radio stations are limited. Good selection of songs, but just not that many. The talk-radio only has 2 "songs" and thats usually my main station.

I'm not sure if it was a lucky draw or if it's actually a way to do it, but I noticed a stock that kept going from $200'ish a share to $600-700'ish a share almost every day. RIM (Richards Majestic). I dumped every dime I could into it for all 3 characters, tripled up. Then the next time I was able to, I did it again. I took Trevor's $500k and turned it into $114million, and similar for the others.

Single player only. Have yet to try online. I'm going to be legit bummed out when I'm done with the story mode.

I'm about 45% finished with the story and loving the game. I've spent way too much time roaming in the last 2 weeks though. It felt like I was missing a lot by not knowing the map completely so I decided to check it all out.

The last few days I've been checking out the online stuff a little. Not really sure I like it with random people. I think it would be more fun for a crew/group of friends.

I'll prob get back to the story this weekend if I don't get the Destiny DLC.

I do have a minor complaint now.

Before I do this last 25% (14 main story missions left) I wanted to be maxed on all stats. For Trevor's I got most of them just by using him since he's hilarious. I didn't realize I had most of them done. Michael's were similar, except for strength and stealth. And same with Franklins.

Sucks that there is so little to build your strength with. Tennis is fine for a bit, same with golf. But why no weights, even when there is a weightlifting gym in Venice beach? Or anything else. Running around and knocking fools out is always fun.

I like it when things are taken care of just by playing the game, then a little bit of time spent maxing them out. But the fact that there is actually a trick to max out stealth and strength is annoying. The rubber band thing is such an odd way to do something. But who wants to walk around really slow for a real-time hour?

That's really my only complaint. I read that a major DLC is coming out next year. I hope so. I could keep playing this game for years if they kept coming out with new stories and whatnots. Hell, just a few post-game missions using the same people every month or something.

I read somewhere(haven't tried it yet) that a good/fast way to level your strength is to get on top of a bus and "attack" it.

A few nights ago I maxed out Michael's lung/breathing/swimming. I started at the top center of the map and swam counter clockwise while staying close to the shore. I'd spend as much time as possible underwater and only surface to reset the air. It took me about 30 mins and when it was finally maxed I was just below the airport on the southern end of the map.

I almost have all 3 chars maxed out.

Strength is the real killer in this one. I've tried the bus trick and the cow trick. Both seem to work. If Franklin could instigate a tennis game, that would be something else to help. Just a little variety, I guess.

Getting all the sub parts and the hidden packages got all my breathing taken care of.
