On a side note, I really wish that a player that quits a match would get a loss and the remaining player a win in random matches. The bitchmade guys that quit after a couple holes are so annoying.

Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

That is kind of irritating. But I didn't know it didn't count as a win. From what I can make out, you get the extra RP from playing against someone as long as they play one entire hole, so I'd been assuming you got the win, too (especially since it plays the little thing where your character salutes).

From what I can tell, too, if you bet money, you only win if they also bet, but if you lose you lose the money regardless, which seems crazy.

Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

Yeah, the RP bump happens regardless and betting carries through AFAIK. I've never checked before and after on the money but the animation shows a cash win even if the person quits. I'm a miserable bastard and want the +1 in my win column so it just rustles me that I don't get one when people quit on me.

Ugh came within an inch of back to back hole in ones on 3! Just didn't trickle back enough.

How many rounds played do you guys have? I have 47. Assuming that's low since I took a rather long break. Just curious.

More than I care to say. I just find it very relaxing and of late have been sticking it on for an hour or so whenever I'm at a loose end.

No, I don't think my driving has changed, but I have shot and put bounties on significantly more people than I otherwise would have.

If you're level 50 or over, do this. Call a mugger on him, then go passive. While you're distracting him with the wanker the mugger will jack his tank. Might be able to call him while passive, not sure though

Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

Got in my first lobby where everyone was just trying to kill each other. I mean everyone. Usually most lobbies I've been in have a few people fighting and most spread out doing their own thing. In this one there were no tanks, no helicopters/planes, just 12+ people turning 4 square blocks all Baghdad and ****. Great fun

Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

So what are the fun things to do after you've beaten the main story line? I'm talking about single player offline.

I had every character at ~$250 million thanks to the assassination missions, and so I've bought all the properties (primarily as Franklin). Unfortunately there don't seem to be a ton of missions being generated from the purchased properties aside from Trevor's hangar missions.

I'm working on getting Franklin to 100% in all stats (just have Special, Strength, and Stealth left). Anyone have any tips for quickly upgrading those? To increase Special I've tried driving at speed on the wrong side of the road but that seems to be going slowly. And for Strength, apparently the hitting an occupied car no longer works. I've been playing a lot of golf but that doesn't seem to do much. For stealth, I tried sneaking around for a while to no avail - does it need to be in a certain context? Dark/light out, with people around or not, etc. Can you sneak up on people in a crowd in broad daylight and sneak attack them?

I've also started working on collecting the letter scraps, spaceship pieces, nuclear waste barrels, and stunt jumps, but that's slow and I can only do it in short bursts.

Anything else I'm missing that's fun? For example my friend introduced me to stealing the military jet and that's cool.

Overall definitely an amazing game. I just wish there had been more heists that slowly increased your money, and that there was more stuff where money was relevant. Instead it went from being too broke to buy anything to having more money than you can spend really quickly. And you spend your money on what? Cars that you can steal anywhere and disappear if you leave them out; clothes that are purely cosmetic; properties that only serve to generate you money when you already have too much... Would have been cool to have to do heists to earn money to buy properties or certain cars to do bigger and badder heists, etc

Re the Special bar, I think you got confused - driving on the wrong side of the road will recharge the bar quickly. AFAIK the only way to up the stat itself is to use it. Golf is the best way I know to max your strength stats, so just play more, I guess. For stealth, sneaking around is all I know to increase it. Maybe stealth kills help, I dunno. You could try the old rubber-band trick and go for a walk - something like a half-hour or 45 mins of continuous sneaking will about max your bar.

For fun, I like to raid Grove Street. Steal the purple Voodoo (or whatever it is), respray it green and leave it back. Tough to do the second part without dying, though.

'Cargobombing' is fun, too - pick up cars with the Cargobob and drop them on traffic. Gets old pretty quick, I suppose, but it's an amusing diversion. You can put stickies on them for extra effect.

Was 1.09 supposed to remove any gifted money from hackers? I haven't been keeping up with these updates.

Before they take the money from us, they're gonna make damn sure no more gets in the system. I'm guessing this was just a fix for the tunables.json file. From there they'll probably wait and see if people can still access and modify it, and fix, and repeat till it's secure.
