Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

The way I see it, GTA doesn't really seem to appeal to the Bro demographic, which may be part of the problem for you and your friends. I mean, to start with, there are more colors present than just brown, grey, black, and dirt.

They do lock on. I might just be really bad but I have a hard time killing people in the jets.

Probably this one?

Very nice and seems relatively easy to do. I'd assume the guy in the cargobob can also just hook onto the tank before the guy inside gets in.
Would be down to try

Glitch to save in garage and insure. This one looks like it'll probably take a bunch of attempts.

Only scumbags glitch tanks into their garage. I hope those people get put into the cheater pool once/if it goes live.

"Nice, I finally blew up this spawn killer's tank! Aaaand it's his personnel vehicle."

$18k bill and a bad sport mark. No thanks.

Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

You're making an awful lot of assumptions to allow yourself to call EVERYONE who'd do it a scumbag.
I hardly ever just attack someone in freemode, only respond and even then mostly just go into passive and ignore. Been in the fighter jet for probably around 2 hours and attempted to kill an other player exactly once (3 man crew in annihilator terrorizing everyone including me).
OP vehicle/weapon abuse brings me no enjoyment at all, believe me.

Thanks for the input tho

I thought jets only locked on to other planes, not ground vehicles (aside from in missions). Me, g0tgame and a friend stole some the other night in free roam and I couldn't get a lock on anyone but them. Buzzards were annoying enough in GTA IV even without lock on capability.

Guess this shows how little experience I have actually using the guns of the jets. Thought so as well.
I guess you have to hover above them and center directly onto them longer than choppers and planes to lock on

Wait, I was definitely able to lock onto police cars that session.
CPU possible, human players in land vehicles not possible probably.

I kinda agree with him, I've got no time for glitchers, if I see a tank or chrome Adder around I automatically think "cheating bastard" even though they may have legitimately earned it or bought cash cards. Calling out everyone may be a bit strong, but I'd say the vast majority will use that glitch as a free pass to grief people. Hard enough to kill a tank without being labelled bad sport and a hefty insurance bill for your troubles, especially if the guys cheated to get it in the first place.

Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

Obviously I agree that using it in that way is scummy, that's why I don't and wouldn't do it.
I called him out for calling everyone who might use that glitch to just have a TANK in your garage scumbags, because OF COURSE everyone only uses it to do what he complained about.

Oh yeah, cops are fair game for the fighter. Stole one before and went to kill the nearest player. When I approached he must have had at least 4 stars as there were cops everywhere around him. Couldn't lock onto him, but sure could lock onto cops, so I decided to help him instead by killing them all. He could have said thanks though lol.

Whatever your intentions are for the tank glitch, you may soon be lumped with all the other cheaters and hackers in lobbies that resemble hell. It's really not worth it.

yea i guess the tdm was always going to be average, i think the reason gta 4 beats gta 5 in those area's is because the aiming isn't assisted so there is more skill and sense of accomplishment for each kill. but the other game modes like turf wars definitely had a massive impact on the quality of the game play imo

the really failed to deliver the full package in the online play this time around imo
Stop moaning about auto aim. You can turn it off and play in lobbies where its free aim.

yeah, I don't think I've ever abused any online glitches or certainly never cheated/hacked, so you can probably understand why your initial post wording bothered me. even "lumped with all the OTHER cheaters and hackers" now stings a little.

fwiw I had no idea that you can actually purchase a tank in online until I looked it up earlier. thought the spreadsheet you linked had all the vehicles you can purchase, but obviously it's just those you can enter races with.
I wasn't even going to go for the glitch anyway, just linked a vid I found relating to the theft vid, but certainly not interested now.

Well, it essentially is cheating. No one else has a tank that a) costs other players money for destroying, b) can be delivered by their mechanic anywhere they want, and c) didn't pay $1.5mm for.

Oh yeah, about the vehicle spreadsheet. I found a really kick ass vehicle chart that automatically compares any 2 vehicles of your choice. Ill post it once I can find it again.

So purchased tank isn't insured/can't be insured and can't be delivered, is it still parked in your normal garage or somewhere else?

Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

Tanks go through Pegasus, so it's actually cheaper than paying insurance every time it gets blown up. Call them and they will drop it off somewhere within a few miles of you, for only $1k. It doesn't go in your garage so that leaves a space for more useful vehicles.

Found the vehicle chart.

Re: GTA V - Online Now (semi)Availible

As someone who played and loved the original beautiful 2D GTA I say GTA5 is everything and more we could even dream of back then. It feels like the people who say it's boring or R* cut corners etc really have a very significant sense of perspective failure. To put the game into context: Before release the interest in it was expected to die within a couple of days of release. Yet, for 6weeks straight GTA was trending on twitter - that is completely unprecedented. Like others have said the problem is with the people not the game and GTA 5 will come to define an era imo.

Enjoyed lots of lols with some of you guys and i'm sure we'll meet again but on the PS4 as now selling my PS3 and concentrating on poker so may as well cash in before the next consoles come out. Take care have fun

Does the next armour upgrade become cheaper once you bought the 60%? Or do you have to pay the full amount each time you upgrade?
If so I'll just wait for the 100% to unlock.

This game can be really fun, had about 8 of us on in my brother's crew, we have neon green for the crew color and our cars are neon green. Had a fun time holding off the cops at 4/5 stars. Then some random decides to take us all on, this ends up into a demolition derby in downtown LS.
