i waited til it said launching session and then waited another 10 mins then rebooted. did it like 5 times

Might try and play this again tomorrow, but might end up waiting several days, got nowhere today trying to log into online. Makes sense there are some early bottlenecks they have to clear out.

"In single player press start, go to online, click change online character. When you are looking at your character press X."

wish i hadnt downloaded that mandatory update. it prevented me from playing the storymode i had already completed the final mission in. (still had other **** to do) flywf said hes having similar issues on xbox.

w/e i was planning to start a new storymode anyway

Pro tip for leveling up fast: Been doing the down the drain race, one lap, and repeating. Quickly up to level 17. The more guys you get, the faster it goes. Money not too bad either if you can agree on a winner beforehand and bet.

Got through first racing mission with no bugs, graphics issues, or lag. Here's to hoping they got a lot of the issues fixed last night.

Lots of graphical glitching out and weird stuff happened when went to first missions but it appears it worked itself out and now I'm even playing with others (race didn't connect with anyone else so whooped Lamar by myself).

finally was able to play. the blue ring that starts the first race disappeared and it just let me leave the area. saw two other players standing around but after killing them didn't see anyone else.

it wouldn't let me access the start menu though, is that normal for online?

got in a game online solo it spawned me 30 feet in the air directly into a free fall face plant, what a way to start my online GTA experience lol....

couldn't find much to do, no jobs or anything... so i tried to join a new online session, it froze my PS3, i reset, lost my character

made a new character, lost that character....

just loaded up online and it is now sending me through the online cinematic stuff again lol

every time i try to load up gta online (thru the pause menu from story mode) it'll just say "loading online session" for several minutes until i have to reset the game.

oh well.

started story mode over, and i was going to start the second race with franklin and i showed up like two seconds late and noticed all the asian guys walking away from the parking lot. so i went in and found a customized racing car one of them left behind. i just saved it in my grove st. garage and plan to use it for racing. super fast and has great handling. if you start over, i suggest trying this out.
