I was trying to think of what it could be, and I figure it's probably 2 years away. Maybe 3.

GTAIII - 2001
GTAVC - 2002
GTASA - 2004
GTAIV/BoGT&LaTD - 2008/2009
GTAV/DLC (full expansion) - 2013/2015

III, VC and SA were all based on the same engine. IV was a completely new approach to the design and V was as well. Since there won't be another console coming out for awhile, there will probably be 1 more GTA w/expansions before the next-gen, which is probably like 2018.

Story mission's done. Phenomenal.

Just 12 more stunt jumps, a few more Under Bridges, 1 more Knife Flight, hunting, the ******edly long triathlon for 100%. I'll do the alt-versions of the heists, then try and get gold on all the missions. Probably another month or so worth of the game, THEN I'll give online a shot.

Hopefully the big DLC will be out by then. I don't want to be done with this game yet!!!!

Anyone know a way to get currency between players? Have 1 mill on my old gamer tag.. Could use a one day code to log in on that one..

None for any significant sums afaik, there used to be a couple ways, like mod a car off the street for someone so they can sell it, but R* shut all that down when everyone was throwing billions around last year. Might be worth throwing R* an email, should help your case more if you have a social club account with both xbox live accounts linked to it

Lol no, I think I burnt myself out on that track forever, tbh I hardly ever play it now apart from checking out new updates, got a severe addiction to BF4 instead.

Finally started the online portion of this. All I have to say about it at the moment is that I never just how quick the time goes then when I was playing GTAVOnline. Felt like a couple of hours, but was actually all goddamn day and most of the night. And I barely know what the hell is going on. Sick fun.

What do you generally do?? I often end up feeling a bit lost and just mess about for a bit til I'm bored..

I did every mission that was texted to me until the loading times to get back in the game drove me nuts. Took way too long each time, like 2-3 minutes. Did that up to level 15, then spent hours trying to beat a Survival, which I never did. I grabbed a Buzzard and flew around blowing stuff up till I died. After that, I tried to get one again, but they only had a standard helicopter, so I guess that was my only time.

Aside from that, I'd run around until someone killed me, then respawn and rush them, only to get killed again. I'd do that probably 5-10 times until I finally killed them back at least once. Then I'd do that again with someone else. That part was pretty irritating, mostly because I'd be going up against someone who was level 200 or something and since I only had 1 good weapon, I'd get killed before I ever saw them. It would've been funner if you couldn't see the other players on the HUD. Anyone at that high a level knows the area well enough that you're pretty much dead before you get a shot off.

I'm playing story mode on PS4 and one thing I've noticed is there are no helicopters around for me to steal. Playing on 360 I remember for sure that there was one on the roof of the police station where your cars get impounded and I thought there were some at the airport too but none of those locations have helicopters right now. Is there a point in the game you have to get to to unlock them or something?

Not sure if related but there's also no fighter jet at Fort Zancudo. My progress so far is that Trevor is in LS and I just did the mission at the docks where he's planning the submarine heist.

I've found 2. 1 is on top of the hospital in the main part of the city, slightly SE. The other, which is the Buzzard, is in an area on the far right bottom'ish area. It's like . It's a closed off section, but you can get in and out without a wanted level. I think it's the NOOSE headquarters, above the Palamino Highlands.

As for the jet, I eventually got one, but you gotta bust ass to get it. I did a quick-save, then did it over and over again until I found out where it was (in a hanger) then spent another dozen or so attempts at getting to it, then another few getting it out. I, of course, got quite a bit of damage on my way out a few times, one which made it too damaged to land at the hanger. I almost got it in there, but it was too jacked up to make it. I tried to push it with a car, but eventually it stopped moving.

If you're low ranked like me it's very handy for grinding cash and xp..(level unlocks at rank 20, so may need someone else to start it)

On rail yard survival, where the T part of the map opposite the main gate where cops come in, there is a wooden crate next to the concrete barrier, you want to get on crate, go into stealth mode, drop onto barrier,(can take a few tries) walk across towards outbuilding with steel roof, jump up, when still in stealth got to middle of roof facing wall, when a decent distance away from wall push climb (x on Xbox) and you should climb through the wall. Inside you can shoot out but not be killed..

10 rounds, 30k for completing and decent Xp.. Normally rank up every go/every other

Ah, that trick!!! I heard there was a trick in one of the survivals, but never dug any deeper.

I don't know if its because I've been playing TLoU (solo and online) lately, but I can't seem to remember how to play GTAV now. I jumped online for a bit last night, had 3 failed attempts at missions and considered not playing it again for quite awhile. I guess just need better weapons. I'm glad you posted that trick though. That might get me back in. TLoU's online is just so damn good, it's hard to play anything else... well, except for TLoU Grounded Mode.

Didn't try that trick, but I tried a different one. The one where you jump on top of a building via a road divider (?) and end up kind of inside of a building. Works well, but... uh... don't throw grenades. Got to level 8 when I did, and shut it off. I'll try yours next.

Ah. Yours was just a lot more detailed. Fun trick. I wanted to jump down when there was only 1 dude left so I could gather all the mini-guns and ****. Next time.

So is first person mode better than third?

It is, but I kinda suck at it. I'm fine in other games that are 1st person. But I'm so used to 3rd in GTA that it throws me off. BUT, being forced into online with some of the races that others make you have to do 1st, I've done a lot better then I do in 3rd person.

Right on I just bought ps4 gta and last of us bundle so bought to find out first hand.

Can you switch to FP in TLoU? Cause that game is perfect for 3rd. 1st would probably suck.

Good link for first person controls that make it feel more like an actual FPS shooter. This is a good setup but just turn up aiming sensitivity just a tad.

Video games answer to Shawshank Redemption. I.e. a fairly average movie/game that's somehow hyped up to astronomical heights.

It earned most of it's hype. Not the whole Citizen Kane crap, but it earned most of it. I was speaking specifically about it's online though. I usually despise online play, but I'm loving every bit of it.
