Is the online a lot better than sp? I just beat it and was underwhelmed by the game. It was fun but way too easy unless you take joy in getting gold in missions. Just cancelled my xbl gold too because I hadn't used my 360 in over a year.

not sure if you can still do this as it's been a while since I have, but you used to be able to get a month free of xbl by making a new account. you could do it 3 times per Xbox iirc.

recommend trying that and see for yourself.

hmm, maybe we had to be close for the other to show up on radar. when the mission began i thought i was playing alone, until i was close to the cop and you flew by me.

anyone know what the cheapest garage costs? i have about 20k and received a text from simeon saying i should buy one. also unlocked the ability to call gerald for missions.

only level 7, but i plan to grind for a few hours.

with 2 garages 80k, with 6 garages 125k

I'm at like level 8 and have about 40k from just grinding Gerald's missions for an hour or so. his place isn't far from the drug busts so you can finish one every 5mins or so and make a few grand.

want to grind that 9k mission but haven't seen it yet

uhhm, races, selling cars at LSC every hour or so ( Ubermacht Oracle, looks like BMW 7-series for 8k ; you get 9.5k for a Lampadati Felon GT, thats the most imo)

Is it wrong that I created a woman as my character? Every time I tried to make a guy he just looked like a douche or dweeb. Also, I tried a mission last night with a couple guys trying to get to the top of the building and we couldn't find a chopper. I had no mic, I went to that spot- the docks first and there was no chopper so I went everywhere else (airport, swat building, racetrack). i think the choppers (Froggers) land only during the day time there and the mavericks should always be there, but not during missions. Anyway, I got booted when we tried it again the final time, what was the reward if you finished it?

jeez, i didnt even know we could sell cars at lsc. i just got the list of cars from simeon, ill get into that later. gtao ps3 was just glitching out on me. i couldnt accept invites from anyone an when id start a mission and send them out nobody could enter.

Road racing, selling cars, missions, it all adds up. Not getting killed also helps!

i sucks at the racing. doesnt help that i only have ~1.25 bars filled for the driving skill.

theres a race around the prison which last only 30 seconds, if you are 3-4 ppl even the last gets 1-2k imo

i had a bicycle-GTA-race earlier near Del Perro pier called "cycle path", really funny with nice jumps, 1st got 8k with 4 ppl, only 2 finished though...

Best way to level up is in passive mode?

The best way to level up if you're not going to farm a single mission is to select quick jobs through your phone instead of driving all over the place.

Or join free aim servers where all the kids who like driving around auto-killing everybody by simply pushing two buttons don't exist. Well, that doesn't really change leveling up. It helps with cash, though.

How do you choose free aim or auto aim. I haven't played online extensively but everything ive done is def free aim so far.

Which is actually hilarious in how bad most everyone is at shooting.

I'm not sure, but I think you have to set it in your single player game before going over to online.

I think I need to get a headset just so I can tell people they have to vote and hit continue after missions, races, ect...... lots of time wasted there.

So I can't party up with a friend and then join an online session with them?

I can start a crew session but then we have to wait for others to join, is that the only way to play together and guarantee we're in the same room?

I hit rank 120 a bit ago. My brain is fried from the grind but I'm stoked.

for those grinding the lamar mission, there is a glitch that lets you make even more money from it. i was doing it last night and made 180k in 30 mins


when you start the mission, do the first run normally and then spawn for the next run close to the deal.

then get a mate with a car and tell him to drive, you plant a sticky bomb on his car and hop in the passenger seat. then tell him to drive to the back of the deal where the lost van is sitting with the guy who has the coke behind it. drive in, detonate the bomb and its blows the whole place to **** and destroys the coke, leaving you and your mate alive and invincible and then it just glitches and says passed. after the mission dont hit continue, use the right trigger to restart and your mates car will spawn in one piece again.
