They are easier to find if you take a helicopter and search by air

The point is to make fun of everything. How do you not get this?

the problem i have is that the gta series is moving more towards art wrt to its storytelling and depth of characters and AWAY from crass satire and mindless gameplay. as the series progresses further and further, its desire to tell a cohesive story with characters we are emotionally invested/interested in comes into conflict with the fact that these characters are typically completely unrelatable and borderline psychopathic.

essentially, as the characters become more human, the games striking lack of humanity becomes all the more apparent and problematic. the whole "lawl it's jst a videeo gam nooob!" argument really starts to lose steam when the topic is approached from a cultural or intellectual approach. but that's more for adults.

go kill another hooker, kids.

Was watching a video and the guy was throwing sticky bombs out of his car.

How do you do that?

you change weapons in your car with X on 360 / square on PS3

then just use the same button you use to shoot from a car

I don't really understand this post at all.

Parts of it I can clearly see being very valid after playing IV. I don't see how anyone who've played both IV and V can make this post though?

IV is pretty central if we're going to debate what direction the GTA-series is going though.

It was way further towards what you described (and in a boring, pretentious and pointless way), so claiming that GTA is currently going in that direction when V is clearly a huge leap back to what a lot of us want from the series (and away from what you describe), doesn't make much sense.

So after completing the Los Santos Heist (aka The Merrywether Heist).....

Spoiler:
why did I get $0 out of it? I went option b, the offshore method, and I skipped a few cutscenes. Told me to drop the package?, files?, at the airfield. Mission summary said something about the $20 million being voided? Read some say that either option it does this to you, other people said in the cutscene, Lester tells you not to drop it off at the airfield bc it has a tracker on it. And then you'd get the payout. Anyone experience what happened to me?

Trevor screwed up and stole something he shouldn't have. Lester tells them they need to bring it back.

Meh, itchy trigger finger, no real connection w the characters based on the cutscenes I have watched, anxiety, figuring I can gleam all I need to for completing the mission in the brief/dialogue box in start menu, etc.

Try to watch the cutscenes but found my mind wander at times and skipping out on this mission bit me in the ass.

Still hugely enjoying the game. Literally hundreds, if not thousands, of gameplay possible. The vastness of what and how you can do things/missions/random **** is simply staggering.

I realize you're probably a child, but you seriously can't understand the difference between the game itself and the characters within the game? You can make a game that portrays a misogynist without being misogynist. GTA 5 is not that game.

Seriously, kids, when BJ or whoever makes a post that's all fancy-talking growed up stuff, you don't need to respond with a temper tantrum. He's not talking to you. Maybe when you're older.

For whatever reason I've sometimes spaced out on a few cutscenes and there are a lot of missions where some pretty important information gets mentioned offhand there. For example,

Spoiler:

All the Lester missions, the company that will benefit

or

Spoiler:

The armored car robbery says where you'll be doing the job, that information is available nowhere, so if you didn't pay attention like I did you might stash your "getaway car" on the entirely different side of the city

have played 2 of the Lester missions and never skipped those cutscenes. Now I realize that should've only done the first (to advance the game and saved the rest for when I finished all the main missions so to have max $ to buy the stocks.

Spoiler:
haven't done that mission yet. Just gonna try not to skip anymore cutscenes from here on out.

Out of habit I always grab my phone to scroll forums whenever a cut scene comes on. There have been a couple that I wish I had watched mostly because I've surely missed stock tips but whatever. I'm having enough fun that I don't really care.

Exactly. I'm used to being able to skip cutscenes and just follow the dialogue box from past gta's (vice city was one where I don't think I skipped cutscenes) but they're making it worthwhile to not do so in this one. Plan on watching all the cutscenes and pay more attention to the story on my second playthrough.

Like a lot of people itt, love the random situations T is involved in when switching to him. Worst is switching to him and leaving the room for a minute or two only to come back to T surrounded by cops and getting insta wasted.
