sure but GTA always has a bunch of non-related semi-pointless missions, it'd be pretty short/boring without them.

altho gta 5 seems to be stepping away from this, it mostly evolves around heists and setting them up so everything serves a purpose and actually feels like it needs to be done.

I'm not saying they're a bad thing, I'm just saying there needs to be a balance, not too little or too much focus on them IMO.

ahh ok -- a tough balance to strike, i personally just hope there aren't any RC Helicopter missions.

Are we talking about the 'Berkeley' mission in SA or the demolition man mission in VC because both sucked balls. The PC version of the former made it super easy and the latter super hars.

I found Demolition man mission in VC to be actually quite easy on pc once I found out I could reconfigure the controls for it. Without reconfigured controls it was practically impossible.

Playing with the RC toys in Zero's shop=Fun, quirky, very much GTA (although I agree with Jeedz, it wasn't hugely impactful to the story at the time)
Playing with the RC plane trying to blow up those ****ing vans=I'll set the building on fire

You guys are all doing Demolition Man wrong. The timer doesn't start until you pick up the first bomb. Fly through the building killing all enemies first. Once the building is clear, go pick up the first bomb. The mission just became a whole lot easier.

GAH!!

I thought I was being clever by starting at the top first.

That's what I remember doing too, makes it so easy. Definitely easier then the David Cross mission in SA where you have to fly a remote plane around and blow up a bunch of vans, so easy to run out of fuel if they drive really far apart.

(I'm replaying SA b4 GTA:V over any other GTA, for me it's easily the best of the series ainec)

It wasn't too bad. I only had to do it 3x's to get it done.

The one you're saying: Hardest mission in any game I have ever played. I was in absolute shock at how hard this one was. I spent days trying to do it, and the worst part is, I didn't have to. It's not a required story mission, but I had to get my 100%. I heard that they actually made it easier in newer releases of the game, but either way.

There was a thread on here years ago about hardest missions in games, and this one is it for me by miles.

The SA mission took me a while but I got it eventually. I don't know if it was the updated easier version. That dude's missions get a bad rap though, because the last one, the indoor one (which Richard Tanner may be alluding to?) is great.

The final mission in Simpsons: Hit & Run was really hard as well. Very solid GTA clone, probably worth a look if you're a big Simpsons fan.

The one where you're working the controls and having to fight Zero's "Moral Enemy"? That one is a blast once you get the hang of it. I could've used more of those missions.

replaying 4 on PC right now and **** this last mission. no checkpoints or anything and i don't think i've flown a chopper all game so now i can't keep up with dimitri because the chopper controls for keyboard are really wack. tempted to go grab a gamepad to finish this

i hated the flying missions on SA for that reason, flying + keyboard is a bad combination.

was the first time in ages i acted like a 6 year old over a video game.

And those flying missions were required to advanced. Not nearly as bad with a controller, but on a PC? I had to put in a cheat for 1/2 speed to pull off some of those flying school missions.

I never did get past the RC helicopter one in Vice Cities. Gave up and and just messed around.

Where the hell's the PC version, how long will we have to wait (if we ever get one that is).

It's been roughly eight months after console release for every PC version since GTA III, so May 2014.

god i'd have to splurge and buy a used console if we had to wait that much longer.

the 100+ hours of gtav alone would be worth the <200 bucks (including the game) for me.
