yeah it did, but with BoGT they seemed to be getting back to the old formula though. Imo it was some of the side games that let it down, the mechanics were crap. After the first time playing darts or bowling I never did it again. I know the golf won't be up to Tiger Woods standard but at least make it fun and replayable, and bring back rampages ffs (never gonna happen tho).

Game play wise i think this one is gonna be like a San Andreas 2

if they just bettered the graphics from s.a. and rereleased it on ps3, i'd be happy with that. but v looks nasty and after 5 years it should be.

I played GTA SA, then GTA IV, THEN went back and played III and VC. That made it very difficult to do some of the rampages back then with the shooting mechanics. A current version of Rampage will be too damn much fun.

Different games. By liberty city i assume you mean either gta 3 or gta4, both of which take place in liberty city. Vice city and san andreas are spiritual if not direct sequels to gta 3 (different settings, characters, etc) but similar engines and gameplay
