well i guess protoss have figured out how to destroy terrans :0.

Maybe the european trend of not having terrans at the top of recent tournaments wasnt a coincidence

I think people just studied MVPs games superhard and found ways to break him.
Pretty much every champ/god-tier player has suffered from this. Also after G1 MVP didn't feel very confident anymore.

I wonder when the first Games are getting manipulated:

1)It`s only 1vs1 so not a lot of people would be involved
2)Compared to other Sports it`s not that much money on the line
3)Even though it`s not that much money it means that it possible means more to the players and I think a lot of them are pretty poor.

The prizepool of the finals is 100k, just imagine July goes to MC and says "Hey MC bet 40k against yourself and let me win you would be guaranteed a 160k".

Dont think it would be to hard to find a couple guys who each bet like 5k for you so no connection could be made.

edit:

Btw. it`s pretty sick how much the protossplayers in general improved.

MVP's decision making looked a bit poor, especially in that first game vs. Genius when he attacked and just got owned by forcefield. I am sure we'll see a good comeback from him though.

Anyone looking for action on the July vs. MC match?

Doesn't winning a GSL have a huge +ev factor for future sponsor deals you'll be able to get as well? I maybe want to bet something small ish on July. If anyone wants to do a small bet feel free to list the amounts you're willing to bet

Maybe they should let the top2 of CodeA pick 1 guy they want in their group, and restrict 3 guys they don't want. That way, there's a higher likelihood all the scrubs will be booted from CodeS, while the winners of CodeA still have a very good shot of moving into CodeS.

Code S starts with 32 players and is broken up into 8 groups of 4 players.

top 2 players in each group advance to RO16 and bottom 2 players go to Code S Up/Down matches. MVP placed 3rd in his group so he went to Up/Down matches and lost those matches, so he's in Code A now.

the system doesn't care if you've won a GSL or not.

the TvP metagame has seemed to shift towards being more protoss favored since MVP won his GSL and like has been said it's possible his TvP was never that strong. against tester he actually won with bio + scv all-ins which seemed a bit out of character to me, i mean they were super well executed, but perhaps that showed a lack of confidence in the matchup.
