my friend loved the game, except for the mid-range to long putting. his hate towards it was so deep that it's stopped me from getting the game. is he just a tard?

I've only got like 8 hours in it and haven't played it in a long time, but I couldn't get in to it. IMO it doesn't compare to TW2008, which really was the last good PC golf game we've had.

The game is probably the most realistic golf sim available at the moment. Sure it's not perfect, but it's light years ahead of WGT or Rory McIlroy golf. Biggest drawback is the lack of a public multiplayer lobby. I have a group of friends that I play with live @ least 3 or 4 times a week and it is ALWAYS a good time. Would play a lot more if I could p[lay live against randoms, but I'll take this game everyday over some BS game where people can use XP to be able to drive the ball 500 yds or be able to influence the direction of the shot after the swing is over.

On sale for $7.50 on PS4 until tomorrow.

Anyone know how to fix it on the PS4 so two players in offline mode can use separate controllers?

It used to before, but now it's making us both use the same controller.. nothing in the options for it.

How does it compare to the steaming pile you said TGC 2 was?

don't have it yet myself thanks to me not budgeting for it b/c of no solid release date announcement. But friends of mine that have it love it.

I've also been watching twitch streams of it and haven't seen anyone encounter the issues that TGC2 had at release. Only complaints I have heard is about how difficult putting and chipping are, but most of those are from people brand new to the game and expect a TW arcade experience.

Have had the game for about 2 weeks now and have to say that as far as the actual gameplay is concerned, it's the best golf game I've ever played.

The swing stick feels much more responsive. The swing meter on TGC2 was mostly unresponsive and only showed your swing going out of the safe area if it was a major miss-hit. In TGC19 it is a true representation of how your moved the stick. They have also made the tempo of the swing much more important by making shots swung mostly between the lines affected a lot more by bad tempo swings.

the ONLY complaint I have about the game is something that can be easily patched.

For some inexplicable reason, in online play against random opponents they have tied the tees you use to your club difficulty level, essentially wiping out any advantage to using the higher difficulty club sets. So someone using the amatuer clubs can only drive about 250 carry distance but they tee off about 50 yards closer to the hole than someone using the master clubs.

Uh, that doesn't seem like a bad thing.
