No. You should never be able to raise your own bid (doing so intentially would be completely ******ed). You should be able to raise your own maximum bid.
Currently, if you make a second bid the auction house treats you as a different bidder. So instead of just increasing your maximum bid you actually bid against yourself. ie; if an item has a 25k minimum, you bid 100k on it. Nobody else has bid on it so you have the high bid of 25k. Later if you come back to the same item and bid 150k on it, you will be winning the auction with a bid of 100k. If nobody else bids on the auction you will win the item for 100k when you should have only paid 25k.
