Played web based games like runescape etc for a bit but first true mmorpg was EQ followed by d2. Don’t play anything now but have an itch to give something a try. No clue what is reasonable for super casual play these days LOL? WOW etc? Thoughts like your gonna pick up a new game for casual play what do you pick

Cod, battlefield, halo and fortnight always felt like a noob and got killed if a player looks at you. After getting killed and Respawn 100 times and never getting a kill, muck that multiplayer sucks arse.

Bought orange box and played a game I never heard of tf2.

Should put tf2 on this generation console's, surely there would be enough players is it was cross platform and PS4 and xbox1 would easily run a game that is what 7 years old?
You can DEF still play TF2 on steam. I played like a month ago.

I'm always amazed at how popular tf2 still is, def one of my all time favorites.

It's still going strong. My 10-year old just discovered it.

I'm kinda the same way, I'll play a new game and it'll be fun for awhile, but it inevitably starts to feel boring or like a chore. I still will get the itch to play d2 though, something will remind me of some aspect from the game and I'll just remember how good it was.

That's a big reason why, now that I'm in my 40's and don't have as much time to dedicate to "getting gud," I like games that I can jump in and out of. Overwatch has been a lot of fun for me, since I can just start a Quick Play or Mystery Heroes match, play a game or two, and quit (or play for two hours as the case may be).

Single-player stuff like Civ - and I just started Surviving Mars - can be good for that, too, since there is no time commitment, but I tend to get bored with those types of games.

Games like civ, total war, paradox stuff gets me mega hooked and I have to avoid it or I return to my D2 zombie state. Everything else is just ok.

I still dont understand the enjoyment of overwatch. I reinstalled it after not playing it for over a year and it just got a big meh from me. TF2 for the win.

Have you tried EU4? It does have a much bigger curve than Civ but, imo, is vastly superior.

EU4 is amazing. I'd say a good ~30% of the time I spent "playing" the game is researching the historical events/figures behind some of the triggers in game.

Is EU4 a game where 10 hours pass and it feels like 2?

No...it's more like 20 hours. But yeah, it is for me 100%

Once you get into it, yes.

For me, every game goes like this:

First 100 years with a lot of micro management and care trying to establish a power base. This phase chews up 10-30 hours depending on starting country.

By this point I am attached to my baby.

Then I nurse my beautiful baby, guiding it toward glorious achievements before Imperialism era kicks in. If I am playing a world conquest game, things can get pretty hectic from here but otherwise I am probably just grabbing trade nodes and expanding my colonies until timeline ends or I get bored.

At this point, I pick up my head and realize a long weekend disappeared.

Well guess I cant buy that one.

I'm pissed that the games I want are things like that (paradox/total war), and everything else I'm not really into.

Age of Empires II, I couldn't wait to get back home from school and play that, first and only time ive joined an online clan and I was so proud.

Later in life it was League of legends season 1 or 2.

It's monster super league. At first, I was searching for a Pokemon game but I saw this game in techbigs similar categories and I decided to give it a try.
