Unreal Tournament GOTY

Still play it occasionally. Didn't like playing D2 online, but I never played with anyone other then random people. But I only started playing that late last year.

Of course it still is beta..and min 3 months away beta at that so caveat emptor imo.
I'm holding out till I read some people who have actually seen the game before I buy. The idea of not having any map or global communication can either be executed flawlessly, or perilously. None in between. So I am on the fence waiting your review

Anyone played this online game called "Infantry" put out by Sony like... 5-6 years ago? That was pretty addictive. Also +1 to whoever said Subspace, that was pretty awesome as it goes, pretty similar type of game as Infantry I think. I also played a bit of Ghost Recon but only played 1v1 on LAN once vs a friend and then played once online, laggy as hell so never played again.

Other than that, Diablo II has basically grew up with me throughout high school. Dabbled a bit of Age of Empires playing LAN with friends, but D2 was the big one, pretty much played every patch, even for a stretch played hardcore and had a lv97 killed during a morning cow run lol.

Starcraft I played for a bit but I was never crazy good at it like some of my friends who can micro like Korean pros (well, not quite). But it did also keep me busy for a while, mainly at UMS maps.

Starcraft and Diablo 2 got me started and then Star Wars Galaxies hooked me, right up until they completely ruined the game.

Was probably Quake 3. We use to play it all day long at school in the background. Dropped so many hours into that game. First game I played online I think was like Madden 95. When SNES had the X-Jack thing or whatever it was called. It was a cartage then you would put the game in it then plug it into the phone cord.

Sega Genesis had X-Band, but I don't remember it working very well. I don't remember SNES having anything like that.

Guess I was wrong.

Pretty awesome that you can use a whopping 14 games out of the entire catalog though. Looks like they have 4 or 5 good ones too.

Cool thread. Still never really found one. Too many hours spent playing by myself as a kid. I am doing two online dynasties now on NCAA10, so maybe this will be the tipping point.

I will say though, at this point the online game I enjoy most right now is Cops and Robbers mode on GTAIV. I could play that **** all day long.

+1 for this altho I used to play AoE 1 online as well before AoE 2 came out and killed it. I still play AOE2 online now.

Ultima brings back some good memories as well although I never got hooked on the online version.

omfg, Rocket Arena 2 day in and day out for like 6 #$dgn years with my older brother (merkaba), in like every baller clan and ladder possible.

then came Rocket Arena 3, Everquest (ahhhhh soooo good, I miss it every day ), and Starcraft/D2

those were the days... all of those games are so good I can't even begin to describe. And Ra2map9 was the nuts . and then came poker and I don't even like games anymore , no matter how hard I try
