I don't think I've ever been so bad at a video game. On COD my K/D has always been 1.2+, but man am I horrible at this. I've played 15 games and only have 7 kills. With that said, game is super fun and perfect for that quick 30 minute video game session where you don't feel like booting up something more involved like Witcher 3 or Dark Souls, etc.
^same. i just started this game and had 0 kills in the first 9 games. then got a minigun and got 9th and 3 kills in game 10. 0 hits ever with a sniper.
on PC. will party when im not completely useless.
for PC players - what hotkeys do you use for building cause f# buttons suck. i was thinking 'f' and 'g' or maybe mouse 3 and mouse 4???
All the games that everyone has left to play this game almost exclusively kinda blows my mind. CoD, UC4, SWBF2 (though without private matches there's no real comp scene yet) PUBG, H1Z1, OW, and the list goes on. Plenty still play those, but everyone seems to be on Fortnite. I stopped aways back but my entire friends list plays it so I just had to suck it up and start up again. Part of that is also because the devs are worth supporting. There are a lot of things I hate and things that need to be fixed, but those guys are on their ****!!
Your season level and battle pass level. I think on your "profile" section, you can see your overall level. There are so many challenges now if you get battle pass. And some seriously great rewards.
There is, however, a new emote that is going to make people wanna murder mofos in real life. You'll know it when you see it.
Grinded for like 6 hours last night, new updates are sweet. 60FPS on Console is so smooth now.
Only gripe is that the challenges are making some areas completely unplayable. Like there's a challenge for opening 7 chests in Pleasant Park, and it's pretty much the new Tilted Towers.

so you keep all your stuff, but it opens up challenges to get more stuff?

Wasn’t PP the original TT though?
I’ve been playing more aggressively so landing in populated areas is fine. It can get annoying fast but fun as hell when it goes well.
The upgrade to 60 fps on console has been amazing.
Bought the battle pass this season. I like the stuff I can earn but I feel like all the challenges somewhat take away from the main objective of winning games.
The 60fps is so sick. I got a gaming monitor 4 days before the update and thought it looked amazing then. Now.... jesus christ!!! I might have to go back and replay every game I have with the increase in quality with the monitor!!
Kill Tourneys are the new thing. NickMercs won about $8400 in them over 4 days a couple weeks ago. He still wins some now but I don't know the $ figures. Its 1v1 or 2v2 and you play in the same match and go for kills. They're fun to watch but I wouldn't play in them. Maybe if they were a best of 3, but they're one-and-done and people are getting really good at them. Quite a few end with 1 team dead from landing in Tilted Towers and the other team only needing 1 kill. But I saw one where the final score was 21/27
As a complete beginner, I wish there was some sort of practice mode so i can work on building. I'm obviously completely terrible at the game and find it difficult to switch between attacking/building. Can't really complain though because the game is FREE.

The last 50 or so gamess I've been disciplining myself to immediately build a square of walls around myself the instant I get shot. It's really been helping my building skills in the late game. Since that is my main focus right now, I'll parachute into someplace that is generally deserted (Flush Factory being my go to right now) and collecting a ton of materials so I can work on it either while nobody is around or at the first sign of danger.
The thing about practicing in PvE, you can't use Combat Pro controls, which makes building infinitely easier. I switched to it last week and though its difficult to get used to, the benefits are obvious right away. A streamer friend of mine actually had the perfect concept to get better at building: Think of it like Fighting Game combos. Need a wall = Circle - R2. Need a ramp = Circle, R1, R1, R2. And so on. Its worked great for me.
I'm really gonna miss Solid Gold when its gone. I've won so many matches, and I've been able to be aggressive in those. 1/2 were solo. Not having to deal with shotgun bunnies and pushers has been too good.
I'm addicted to this game. This one thing tilted me so hard though. I downed a guy on the edge of clock tower in Tilted. I shot him again and took 20 damage off. He falls off of the top of clock tower and survives the fall. I thought you couldn't survive that fall alive. Is fall damage when downed non existent?
of course he was revived by his teammate and they tore down the tower and unloaded on me 3v1...he shouldn't have survived the fall!
I wonder if I should contact Guiness. My son also claimed the 0 kill victory royale this morning. So we each have one. With three left, two guys in towers are shooting at each other with rocket launchers. As they are, my son is behind a tree picking at the bottom foundation of the guy closest to him. The guy closest to him gets two rocket shots in a row and it looks like far away guy doesn't have any more materials because the first one hits and destroys the wall and the second hits him full on, killing him. At the same time, my son finishes picking out the bottom of the tower on the closest guy, who plummets to his death. And since fall damage doesn't count as a kill, Victory attained without a kill.
