I've had some really embarrassing gunfights with the shotgun

Uninstalled last night. Had a perfectly stationary target and a sniper rifle. Somehow managed to miss. If the aiming reticle is merely a suggestion, I think I’m done with this game.

Something is def wonky with the snipers. I noticed while watching streams players on PC making shots no problem. Yet, I can't hit the broad side of a ****ing barn on Xbox live. Sure, I can two tap a guy that has 100 hp+armor with a grey M16 at like 200 yards away, but try hitting the same guy with EITHER snipe? Nah...

Even if my target is completely standing still, and I correctly adjust for bullet drop, and I'm 100% zeroed in on them, my shot still somehow misses like 50% of the time.

Pretty much gave up on snipers for now. Waste of an inventory slot for me when you can carry extra armor/explosives. Anyone dumb enough to stay exposed long enough to give you a clean shot @ end game isn't a major threat anyway...

I've accepted the fact that there is in no way any sort of skill based gun fighting. Which is great, because I have the worst RNG luck. So who even needs a gun until the end.... Its still tactically interesting fairly often. Solo'ing no-fill squads is pretty damn challenging.

There is very little life left in this game for me though. Once StarWars Battlefront 2 releases, I'm on that 100%. I wasn't even planning on playing it but this weekend's beta sold me on it. So damn much fun. And that was just a taste of what that game will have.

I agree with the first part. Aside from my bazooka story, the most fun moment for me was when a dude was chasing me and I ducked down into an area I thought would have an escape. It did not. Just a waterfall and nowhere to go. I crouched down and hid behind a rock, listening to his footsteps. He went around one way and I the other.

This all ended with him looking around fruitlessly for me and me running off to avoid being killed by the storm. Never fired a single shot.

I had a round where I hit 4/5 sniper shots and 3 for headshots from 75-125 yards. Since then I'm hooked on them. I have decent luck at hitting moving targets, but yea 40-50% of the time in this game you just have no idea where the bullet is going.

Aside from fixes that will never happen (RNG and gun reg) the only thing I'd really like to see is more ways to fill your health then just the 1. Bandages should go 100% and perhaps a consumable of some sort that slowly replenishes. I'd love to see how the game plays when you can be more aggressive and not screw yourself. It would open up more ways to play. Could be sneaky and stealthy, or psycho aggro and you're not bored or immediately at a disadvantage.

What do people get out of the game that camp in the random 1 room sheds with a shotgun the whole game

Map shrinks fast enough where I don't really get this view. Do you jump out of the bus right at the beginning and try and land near everybody else because it means more action?

Why camp in a shed when there are plenty of good bushes around the map?

Because shooting someone that starts chopping down your shed as soon as they break through is awesome

Fun game, duo prob my fave, then squads/solo equal. One of my fave places to start is the prison. Good amount of weaponry, chests, & ammo cans, and generally only 1-2 opponents go there, if any. Dropping into named zones like Fatal Fields is generally a no-no, unless it's far from the Battle Bus's path.

Cross platform play is much appreciated.

1st/2nd to start the day in solo queue

guy to win second game had tons of rockets and was using them really well and his awareness was pretty unreal, i felt pretty outmatched

I got a win then 2 top 5's in a row and both of those were getting sniped from so far I didn't even hear the shot. When the killers-cam popped up, I was on the other side of the circle. Never saw either coming.

I think they need to replace the amount of rockets you can find to health kits. There are far too many of one and not nearly enough of the other.

Also, if you solo-no-fill squads, you'll find better gear. At least on the healing side. As rare as kits and armor are for me, a friend that solos squads has full armor and then some every game she goes deep. Enough that she's has to leave some behind fairly often.

I killed 4-5 people today with sniper shots that would feel the same as that.

When it's final 10 I will stalk people from across the map and the moment they stand still, take a shot.

I think I just played my last match. The metas are too stupid to have to deal with anymore. Bouncing up and down blind firing shotguns or spamming explosives. I rarely built anything, only to get to places, but that too has gotten pretty ******ed.

South Park in a couple days and SWBF2 in a few weeks. I think I'm good for the year.

Yeah, earlier we were down to final 7, my 3 man squad chilling in a two story house well inside the circle and I get a solid 10 second screen freeze (with 7 ppl wtf) and when it unlocks I'm eliminated via shotgun lol just brutal.

I'm also really looking forward to SWBF2, had a blast in the beta playing specialist mostly, I found it pretty OP with three round burst and infiltrator/scrambler/stealth. Boba Fett was also super fun.

Should add that my first solo win was surprisingly done with crap for loot.

Had a white SMG and shotgun with zero bandages/shields for most of the game. Got a green shotgun around final 10 and some other guns at final 3, eventually winning with the green shotgun 1v1. This match came immediately after finishing in second with 3 gold weapons in my inventory, double shields and full hp

Going into duos alone can be frustrating at times. First three today, partners 1&2 skydived far away from the point I chose (the unmarked trailer park) and died shortly after. Partner 3 was AFK. Fourth match, my partner actually has a brain & backs me up, we do well in the gunfights, and we won the whole thing with like 14 kills between us.

I also headshot sniped an enemy from point blank (<5 meters) because I'm a total spaz lol.

Loving this game! A few short videos if anyone is interested. One is getting to the final four of duos, the other is winning duos for the first time last night.

Once you get down to 10 people or so the variance of being inside the circle or not seems to have a HUGE impact on your chances to win. If you are fortunate enough to be inside the circle once it starts getting really small and the others are forced to move you have a really significant advantage. Building also much more important than I initially thought. If you are good at building while on the move and in combat it really helps (I'm terrible at it).

I’m goat at getting down to final 2 or 3 and losing and you’re right, it’s mostly because I’m trying to penetrate a castle that’s conveniently inside the circle already. To be fair some of the losses are due to me not being able to shoot people too.

I just won back to back Solo battle royales. Not super crazy or anything, but a pretty big achievement for me, since I'm rather awful w/ the scoped weapons.

Somewhat like poker, what feels like the optimal play style is often kind of boring. Once the circle gets kind of small, and there's still around a dozen people left, there are definitely situations where you may want to fire on an enemy that you see, but doesn't see you, but you shouldn't, as you will reveal your position which makes life a lot tougher.

Exs. of outright boring play : Chilled in a bush for a circle rotation in the first game, a guy literally ran right next to my bush and I didn't pull out my rifle & blast him down, because I had full health + shields and didn't want to risk taking damage. In game 2, the circle closed in around Moisty Mire, where I went to after looting the Prison, so I "fell off the map" so to speak in the bottom right until I had to move with the circle.
