dumb question that probably gets asked every year... will be new to FIFA and will be getting on PS4. Ok for me to go with 14 over 15 to save a few bucks? Don't have tons of time to really grind (even new to the FUT and coins thingy), so any major reason to go straight to 15?

PES is supposed to be good every year lol. Hopefully they make big strides this year as FIFA and EA need a good kick up the backside.

If you don't play online then 14 will probably be fine for you. If you like playing with friends etc then you will be quite lonely in the lobbies

What are the things that really matter?

I play on PC and I am super pumped for the new graphics/physics engine. I've heard about a redesigned career mode as well but I'm not sure what that entails exactly.

If the only improvement they made from '14 was making the FUT servers stable I would be happy.

Yep. They used to be much worse than the ones in 14 though tbh...

Any boners got any first impressions on the demo?

demo just came out on 360. complete sweatfest imo. i hope they lower the speed of the game, its worse than fut13 right now

dribbling is a lot smoother though which is a huge +

The FUT web app is back up and it looks like they added a "Re-List All" button (I don't remember seeing that before). Quite a time saver IMO.

first impression after a few games of the demo:

its much, much harder to send in an accurate cross, harder to score headers.

close control + passing were improved a lot. holding LT seems more realistic, rather than just putting up a force-field and dribbling with a broken ankle like in 14.

EA may have over-shot a bit, but they needed to put more pace into the game. its much harder to push some1 off the ball, and *SHOCKER* when a faster player is in front of a slower player running away, he actually gets away now.

a few finishes that would have been automatic goals in 14 either skied over the crossbar or were saved. seems like the goalies will be better and watching the power bar when shooting will be more important.

Demo is available for PS3 now.

Played the demo a bit. Plays better than 14, which I didn't even bother buying because I thought it was so terrible, though I did just get it for free with the EA Pass. Instead I played 13 religiously the past year. Anyways, the passing on the demo is better than 14 and so are the player movements imo.

Annual reminder to everyone that they should be playing this game with all controls set to manual. Assisted is LOL-worthy. Won't bring it up again until the release of FIFA 16. Carry on.

I played a few demo matches. I really like it. Love the body to body contact. Makes the game feel much more real and physical. Ball spin can be a little crazy at times.

what do you think is better with manual controls? i never knew i played with assisted...

so i guess "what is manual?" is worth asking too.
