kinda regretting buying this game. my initial feeling is i don't like the gameplay (compared to '12 where i sucked at the beginning but was really excited about the game feel).

is there a 2p2 ps3 club?

did they eliminate the ability to play as your VP in anything but online matches?

Only way to level him up is in Clubs games and Drop in games

Managed to luckbox a Rare Thiago Silva today!! I did a quick search in Auction area and only saw one Silva selling for $173K starting price. What's my play here?? I'm definitely gonna hold onto it for some games, maybe then add a contract to it and sell it. Is $170K a reasonable starting price?

This exactly. I was ready to get violent yesterday.

You tackle = They retain the ball but you are on the ground out of the play
They tackle = Take the ball in stride and dribble away
They clear in desperation = perfect lobbed ball to counter

I had more assists to my opponents on tackles yesterday than they had on passes.

just brought £16 worth of fifa points and after 5 packs have a load of rubbish, think Ronaldinho is the best player...

In the spirit of sharing, I thought I'd offer you guys first dibs on my pack opening skills.

I got a IF Koscielny on auction. Then went on a pack splurge and got two more! Meaning I have a spare (going to keep one for a mate) Wondered if any of you guys want him?

Per http://ultimatedb.nl/ they have gone for 31033 which equates to £6.21 (using ebay rate on 100k coins for £20) which is $10?

Happy to take PStars for it, or of course just sell it in the actual FUT marketplace

I've been struggling to find a formation for Spurs, I just played a game with 4-3-3 false 9 and it was pretty awesome. Just one game so I'll have to use it more to see but I'd recommend giving it a shot.

no

precision dribbling(L1) lets you keep the ball close and turn in tight space with a lot of precision, you can also use it at high speed to go past players by changing direction quickly(run, use precision dribbling, release quickly, turn)

L2+R2 is basically a change of pace
you are sidestepping and keeping the ball close(hoping your opponent overcommits), when you release your player speeds up, you can also use it to get away from an opponent in tight space(when standing still you can go backwards)
L2+R2 is great to keep your opponent on the backfoot(always use it when approaching a contested area) because overcommiting is very dangerous for him

illustrative of how terrible EA servers are? I cannot get into a online ranked match. the only thing i can play is online drop-in VP matches, but half of those disconnect midway through. this after having no problems with '11 or '12, and following all the wireless DMZ instructions for ps3

edit: nvm, did something with my router and now firewall status is green open and finally connected to online match.

This year in Clubs it's a lot more about strength and agility than just being a midget and trying to run in behind defences.

So i played a game of Club and it seems to be a bunch of people chasing the ball while i resolutely hold my LB position. Does the 2p2 club(ps3) actually try and hold positions etc? Can i join?
