I actually like seasons a lot also.

Nutshot,

kkc had a really good post itt about dribbling imo. Are you taking too many touches? Where do you feel you're struggling with dribbling most? Like midfield, deep vs defenders etc.

I just am not very good in 1v1 situations, like if I am along the touch line in the midfield against a defender I literally either just 1-2 or try to sprint past. I got nothing else in my arsenal. Same idea 1v1 on the counterattack really, with a forward against a CB

Like, I know I need to practice dribbling but I guess I'm just not sure how. The skill game isn't super helpful for me.

Work on timing/release w those buttons. Really owns people if done correctly w hood dribblers.

This is all you have to do, use L1 and L2 for little changes in direction or stop-start confusion to the opposing player. Then you mix in the give-and-go and maybe even a couple learned skill moves later. And fake shot or fake cross is a quick way to change direction.

Scored the best goal I ever have and ever will score in my life in an online match just now and they didn't save the highlight for me to view post game. They did save a highlight of a foul and 3 average saves, though. Thanks. So tilted.

Cashed out for $90, won't be doing UT in '14. Picked up Football Manager 2013 on Steam, going to give it a go as Fifa Career Mode bores too easily.

Same, bought FM at start of the year but this is the first time i'm starting a campaign (year 4). Filling the UT void nicely.

FM and fifa career mode are barely the same genre. its like comparing the world cup to some kids kicking the ball around at the park

Can someone please make a short pitch on why I should buy FM? I think I understand basically what it is, but I want a better understand of what I would be getting myself into. This seems to be right up my alley since I used to be really into career mode on FIFAs and I would do everything but watch/play the games by simulating every game.

It's almost frustrating to get on a winning streak because you think you have it figured out....

followed by 3 or 4 games where if you score 1 goal its cause the other guy pushed his analog the wrong way

It can be pretty hard, but players really do grow on you due to not being able to control them and it being down to them.

You can also start up online games with one server and mutiple managers (different ppl) which is pretty sweet newish feature.
