Stop buying the best cards on the game then. Buy silver EPL team (no informs) and handicap the **** out of people.

And theres still amazing players Lukaku, Benteke, Mayuka, Bannan , Kebe ....Agbonlahor (ew).

what is handicapping? and how does it work´?

I know what it means but how does it work on fut?

It doesn't officially exist according to EA. But in my experience, if you have a highly ranked team and are playing against a low ranked team a few different things seem to happen:

The most tangible one is pace. I have had Ferdinand and Mertesacker out pace Aguero for a through ball on numerous occasions, this also happens with other players who should be faster, but those were the most ridiculous, extreme examples. At its worst, it feels like my team are running through treacle the whole game. No fun at all!

Another is control.. players suddenly lose the ability to control the ball... someone like RVP will have the ball just pinging off him from a standard rolling pass

Shooting.. players can no longer score.. even with an open goal 4 yards out, they will manage to hit the post or sky it over the bar.


Passing.. the simplest pass becomes almost impossible, your player will just pass to the opposition, despite you trying to pass in a completely different direction.

The most blatant I had was in 90th min, from a opp GK, went straight through to Lloris, who was well inside his own box, decided you chest is down to the opponents striker. He then went on to score another with an apparently invincible run..

just use a silver team , or a non-rare 75 gold team. against a full TOTS team. no way your players should be able to compete right?


Wrong, they are actually better. id take silver Mayuka against TOTS Ramos and SIF Thiago alves any day. They'd get burnt for pace and mayukas control would be messi-esque

I did try out Mayuka, but only in a mainly gold team..

May have to sell up and give it a go.

Have put together a 700k+ prem team and so far I am 5 games in, all losses.

Last game was 7-2! something like scored 3, conceded 18...

The one game I played with my rest team, I won, with other guy hitting the post 7 (yes 7!) times!!

i have built some of the best teams in the game and always struggled...........tonight i won div 1 for the first time with a perfect 7-0 record.......my team cost about 500k and basically was built around players i knew worked for me.......i think that is the key, players who have the attributes to do what you want them too!

i was like 50-3(two losses were vs silvers)

i've been noticing teams lately will have like one player without the right formation or position. been seeing it more and more and wondering if it's some sort of 'handicap block' or something like that. that and teams with 99 chem, not even using a manager or a manager with the wrong formation. i have a feeling that doing this essentially in a way stops other ppl from handicapping you. i'm not sure but feel like when i've played teams doing this (mostly all gold, linked up) they play really really well.

I must admit, I did wonder why there are so many players who have clearly put a lot of thought into their team/formation etc don't have a manager.. which is like 200 coins to sort out..

Who knows... handicapping is a dark art!

If each starting player has 9 chem. And team chem 99 / 11 = 9 chem for each sub, there's no benefit to having a manager top you to 100.

Without a doubt, 100%.

It may well be that players who are at a certain level or have a particular playing style would be less effected by it, if it did exist. I'm not normally one for conspiracy theorys and all that BS, but I can honestly say I repeatidly experience what I would call handicapping.

Mertesacker out pacing Aguero for example, there is no explanation for that.. (and no the were no +attr cards applied)

Or walcott out muscling some 6'3 defender..

Also, on a different note.. Does anyone know which button/s you press to make your defender shield the ball when running towards it??

So annoying being in a foot race with a pacey forward when the defender just spreads his arms out like Jesus and slows you to a crawl!!! (this would be a foul in football btw!)

key thing for me is pace along the back, two wingers who can shoot, a mobile cdm and a decent strong cdm and one finisher and one pace demon up top......normally i have a great passer at CAM but ran out of coins so went with Reus/Gotze..
