Still hoping to get some insight on the 4312 from someone w/ some experience w/ it. Please confirm that it is basically a LAG form of the 352.

i think its totally different. As going from 3 CMs to 2CDMS n a CAM is not nearly as in control defensive wise. And before i hear the attack first defend later argument, you will be attacking so much more by having the 2 CDMS preventing their counters and stifling attacks retrieving possesion.

Id rather have one CDM and one CAM than 3 CM's.

Ps u appear to have said 4312 when i think u meant 3412 as its closer to 352. Either way i think what i said is relevant

Yes, I meant 3412 and not 4312. Won't having a defensive minded player like yaya next to an offensive minded player like modric accomplish what you point out (having a CDM & CAM is > 2 CMs)?

Maybe im misunderstanding you, but what i mean is an actual CDM in the formation, not a defensive minded CM. For instance, i think someone like even an attack minded player like Modric playing 352 as a CDM, would be far better positioned defensively than say a defensive minded player like yaya toure playing CM in 3412.

Obviously he would be far worse off at heading and proper CDM stuff. but as a formation as a shape i think that is the major difference between 352 and 3412.

The difference in price of the formation cards i think demonstrates this, but to address your first question. I think you would end up doing less attacking in a 3412 because of how ur CM's would be further up the field at all times, maybe as a counter attacking team 3412 is more effective.

I think ive got a good chunk of a certain IF silver , think i have spent close to 1.4m getting almost all of them. and im about to price fix. there is usually 1 other card of him on the market from which is along my price lines. planning to make 20-30k on each one of him pre tax.
