like i said the pace monsters in the forward-line are completely useless for me

80-85 pace is easily enough(assuming decent acceleration) and ball-control/dribbling/agility/balance is more important

the only position where high pace feels like a necessity is fullback because they constantly have to get in behind and need a lot of pace to recover too.
For CBs high pace is a big plus too(makes defending pace-abusers so much easier) but other attributes are still more important(hummels >> santana for example)


i think i settled on the team to make once i have enough coins for messi

85 pace + high acc is close to the same thing as 90 pace. Although Im guessing your point is that the 90 pace noobs use pace, not acceleration, ie for long balls through/over. Whereas you would use it for quickly beating a defender to get a shot away or maybe an intricate through ball.

loving my 3-5-2. Luiz in the midfield is just crushing the guys who love to dribble around outside the box, and the welliton/pato duo is destroying defenses like usual. Scored one of my sickest goals ever last game, had kaka do a curving lobbed through ball into the box and pato bicycle kicked it into the bottom corner. Obviously made him watch the replay 3x.

you could give IF dzeko a try, has great ball-controll/dribbling for a big guy(in addition to his great longshots)

Team chem is completely useless. Its just a number.

You need to get each individual to 9 chem, otherwise they play like a bronze player.

Probably just a play style thing, I never plan to keep possession of the ball for any period of time, so my CDMs dont really get dragged out of position. If you were kicking it around a lot around their box I could see this being an issue. But for the counterattack type of approach its been awesome for me.

Basically I just play very conservatively on defense to slow down their attack and allow them to drag a lot of players into attack, and then having Luiz + 3CBs makes it impossible for them to get anything going once my defense has set up shop. Then they dick around for awhile and drag their RB/LB out which makes for good counterattacking possibilities for welliton/pato. (And I have robinho/hulk as LM/RM who are surprisingly good at chasing people down the sidelines once they start going to run to corner and cross route)

I did that too. I usually allowed the CPU to mark the ball and I would take control of my CM who has the best def stats and have him hang around the top of the box in the middle and wait for the ball to approach him/ intercept passes. I got sick of that so I sold off both of my teams because I realized that committing 4 players to defend is super nitty.

yeah probably is, but I only have time to play ~1 game every couple days, so cant really be bothered to take the time to completely learn a new style. As it is now, I always get 17-20 points each div1 season (usually I lose at least one of those games with my backup team while resting my starters), so it works pretty well and I dont have the time to commit to learning a different style

Have been looking back through the thread, think I have picked up a few decent tips.

So annoyed with myself, I got the ultimate edition and the 24 gold packs or something.. any players or consumables I didnt need there and then I just 'quick sell' for pennys!! Dread to think how many coins I missed out on!

As for my strengths... not sure to be honest! My win/loss ratio is about 55/45 in my favour (including a massive downswing since winning Div1!)

Would be good to play some people on here... on Xbox if anyone fancies a game.. would be good to get an outside opinion on the strengths/weaknesses I have.. may be able to offer my 2cents for anyones elses team!

siiighhh i had been playing all seasons and experiencing basically no handicapping then i play 2 games of a tournament (semi final and final of gold cup) barely beat semi final crap team 2-1 then go up 1-0 in the final and ridiculous handicapping kicks in. every player so sluggish, cant hold ball at all, hitting posts, can't win a header, can't defend, he ends up scoring 2 in the second half and wins 2-1 dfdfdsbgdg. every player 99 fit and 100 morale too. i thought d1 of seasons title you get a pack? won it and got like 3k coins or something so i did the gold tourney...

now that i think of it i applied a +10 attr card to suarez...wonder if that's it but i doubt it and think it's just what happens in tournaments vs lesser teams.

Played a game last night that ended 4-4, only 2 of the goals in the game were legit. ie GK trips over CB, goal. Header deflects off 2 CBs, keeper is wrong-footed, still pulls off a miraculous save, winger is following up, goal. GK dwells on the ball, I rob him, Balotelli mis-controls from the steal, GK accidentaly gets in his path, ref gives pen.

So fkn ridiculous, I scored 2 legit goals and can only get a 4-4, the goal that gave him the 4-4 was so insane, I cant change player, then I try to block the cross and my player moves the OPPOSITE direction, then as the weak cross comes in its the easiest header for Pepe ever, he moves in the OPPOSITE direction and literally moves out the way for his forward to nod the softest header, my GK doesnt move and the ball rolls over the line. DISGUSTING!

Im 23 games unbeaten now, 19 of those in Div 1, 4 in Cup. I went 7-1-0 for the title, then yesterday I went 0-6-0 before winning a couple of games to remain in Div 1. All the games were complete lolathons. EA trolls me so hard.
