What formation?

If the shine wears off of this 4-3-3, I'll probably give 3-5-2 a shot before selling him off

used him in 3-5-2

wishlist is the rw lucas and need to get thiago silva back

best strategy for these market collapses imo is to buy players that regularly sell for around 2k in decent formations at just above discard, right now ive got 30 wellitons in my trade pile and can either wait to sell or just get my money back

luiz despite his work-rate(doesnt matter as much in a 3cb formation) is still top

i would probably go
luiz-djourou-kos

alternatively kaboul instead of djourou

I will definitly look at luiz and kos, but what's up w/ djourou? I hope this doesn't sound un-appreciative of your response, but djourou is a 75 and doesn't look that special from his stats. After looking at your 2+2 pic I am assuming you are just an arsenal fan.

my little bro's been playing ultimate team for about a week, and just got TOTY Casillas in a pack. some fairly nice run-good right there.

Skrtel is one. Mbia maybe the other especially if you don't have anyone with driven free kick trait on your team. Kaboul similar.

try him
stats do not show the whole picture

same goes for Ox for example
only 76 but his acceleration/dribbling make him a superstar imo(does not fit into my usual 4231 but i bring him on as sub very often)
Ox is probably better than cazorla in ultimate team lol

Thoughts on this squad? What would you do differently or upgrade?

anyone have any advice on free kicks, I just realized Ive only scored like one this year and I used to score them a lot.

Does holding right button during free kick not give the nice finesse like it did last year?

For freekicks if your < 25 yards, aim like a yard or so inside the post, about 40-50% power and hold up the the left analog the entire time your building the power.

From further out like 30+ yards need to put probably 50-60% power and hold the button that gives it more power i think its LB, also still holding up on the left analog.

Long ones are pretty hard to score but i score short ones all the time, no idea if this is the best way or not but it works good for me.

Do you release stick while player is running to kick the ball?

What makes Luiz a good ST? I've faced him a few times w him at ST and didn't notice anything special.

just everything, strong in air in particular. High def and off work rate so win the ball high up the pitch.

all his shots seemed to go in too.

hard to explain but he's keeping ba on the bench

Ive finally done it, its taken me around 500 games but Ive finally fkn "got it".

Ive won h2h and FUT seasons multiple times but I never felt like I was good at this game, I know opposition is much harder but I never fully understood the player movements and the best way to play. I would back myself to beat almost anyone on FUT12 but on this Ive never managed more than a 3:2 win rate. Finally tonight its all clicked for me and I feel like I now understand this game far better. Passing just wont cut it this year, I dont have any 5* skillers either and if I did I doubt it would help. You just have to be skilled at PD and you need the movement of Xavi as hes receiving the ball.

Defensively its clicked too, I havent conceded more than 2 in a game all night and its so obvious why I was getting beat 5+ before.

Dont pull guys out of shape and still press the ball high up is a difficult skill, you have to be thinking 2 passes ahead. If the pressing fails get your midfielder running back, dont worry about the defenders, they will take care of themselves. Now either the guy doesnt realise your guy is coming back and gets mugged, or the defense steps up with use of offside trap or secondary press. It sounds so simple but it really is difficult to get right.

Just so happy to finally start to understand this version.

Inb4 I get on tomorrow and nothings changed, lol

To me those are "sweaty". Not that it bothers me, but when I take free kicks I try to make it realistic, I got for the curve and dip. All these kids that cry about cutbacks etc, majority use this free kick for a cheap goal, thats fine with me but they cant then complain about other types of cheap goals. Not that Im saying this directly to you btw, just in general.

I havent scored a long range power free kick since the first ever FUT, and I always try, Ive watched all the tutorials on youtube etc, just cant get one to go in. Im a beast under 35 yards tho.

Isn't this better with Thiago Silva in the center and the PSG GK?

Don't understand how scoring a direct fk can be sweaty and the ball does dip a lot :S I don't really like aiming for curve as some players curve the ball way to much and its hard to control the amount.
Also i'm pretty sure a well timed wall jump blocks most freekicks, i mean like 99% of people seem to run a person on the line which does nothing most the time but i always jump the wall and block majority of those taken vs me, but obviously no idea if the person taken them is any good at em.

Currently 1 game away from winning div 1 for third season in a row, although had a helping hand from ref in last game when other player had both CBs sent off i nthe first half for randoml challenges near the middle of pitch that weren't that bad
