if you want to blow money on packs its the best deal you are going to get. i pulled a balotelli, 41212, and a handful of rares i can get 1K for. probably 45k worth of stuff overall. buy now instead of the end of the day because player prices are plummeting and will be in the tank for a month

Figured now would be the most justifiable time to drop $15 or whatever on packs. Opened my two mega-jumbo-special packs and the best I got was a Pato.

That includes me, as I just started and don't really know what I should be doing. What's a good strategy to put together a squad when you're poor? How do I deal with replenishing my players over time as their contracts run out? (buy contract cards? just get all new players?)

I can only tell you my experience, but note that I'm completely new to playing UT, so anyone that has some tips and tricks should share it with me/us.

When I got my 1st pack I sold everyone except 3 Korean players, I read somewhere that bronze players are really cheap(even the rare ones) in unpopular leagues (German, English, Spain, Italy all extremely popular)+ Korean bronze players are really pacey.
When they bought my players(usually for Buy now 200) I just bought players for 150coins.

Then with my starting team+ subs (they doN't have to be with good chemistry in the beginning imo) was ready I played some of the offline trnys for coins and packs- sold every player I got in them ofc.

Regarding contracts, I just blew a **** ton of money on gold contracts- some ppl just try to buy players with 10+ contracts remaining and offload them when they only have 1-2 left, but I like to keep the players I'm satisfied with.
Also keep an eye out for bargains, some ppl just want to offload players/managers/consumables and doN't really care for how much- that is how I got Wenger and Wilshere for less than 2.5k.

Just play thru the first offline season or an offline cup to get a couple thousand coins. Takes an hour and then you can buy all gold players for just above discard price to crush up thru division three while upgrading your team along the way. I found golds with 50+ contracts for 350

I vote Marcelo and Maicon. I have the same defensive lineup you do in my Brazilian squad and find that Dede and Luiz do a pretty good job while Danilo and Luis are more prone to boneheaded stuff.
