So I decided to pick this up for the first time this year. Had fun in the early release even though I got pounded in every game. Thanks to those who me gave some tips earlier ITT. I can manage to beat the CPU on professional now and can at least hold my own online. I've won a couple online games and only lose by 1-2 to better players now.

Can any of you UT guys help me out with building a team down the line? I already know how to make coins and get the best deals from experience with other UT games, but I know absolutely nothing about this sport and its players.. I have around 50k coins + another 50k+ in players already. Lavazzi Welliton, Emenike & McGeady are the most expensive in my collection, but I'm not attached to them or anything.

I really have no clue how to go about building a team, I don't even have a formation in mind yet. I can't really stress how little I know about this sport lol. I'm just a UThead trying to get my fix.

grunch: the new first-touch system is ****ing horrible. how the ****ing **** did ea let it come out of testing like this? i'm sure i'll adjust but, whether you're holding turbo or not, players should not be taking ****ing pub league touches 25% of the time. a shame, because a lot of the other stuff is really good (i like ai, passing so far). just unreal when even mata and cazorla are regularly hitting simple touches up in the air/10 yards ahead.

just so predictable when ea says stuff like "league two players shouldn't be taking messi touches" that they're going to overcorrect 300% and have spaniards taking gervinho touches.

are you hitting the L trigger when you touch? Seems to work for me as the control button pretty well but lol me if it does nothing

yeah, "pace control", that helps. still think they way overnuked raw turbo touches but w/e. first week of new fifa always really frustrates me before i get used to it.

long shots seem really good in h2h.

One thing I always felt was egregiously unrealistic about fifa was the instant control that even the most ham footed division x player (where x is an integer far greater than 1) possessed. Glad they modified that.

Silly rabbit, EA doesn't test stuff. It just craps out a slightly altered product each year and makes a killing.

Changes with the 1st touch are def great but it is stupid that they didnt alter the one touch passing as well.
Players have heavy touches regularly yet always hit perfect 1 touch passes even from very weird angles, unrealistic and bad for gameplay as well imo

Anyone else in US having matchmaking problems in H2H Season? Every game says "Opponent Found" and then "Connection was lost" 15 seconds later.

Yeah I loved playing with them last year. Thought Lavezzi was a boss though.
Idk....sometimes it is a bit extreme, but I think it is so much more realistic than any other fifa before. It can really set the great players apart in a realistic way. Something about Adebayor taking a first touch that didn't go 7 yds just didn't feel right.
Yeah I pretty much agree with this. Still think this>previous though. Hopefully '14 has one touch passing dialed down a bit too.

what button combo is that in this FIFA? I seem to remember it being like "x-x-x" hit really fast together in older FIFA's, or is this different?

I think that like 90% of the stats have been directly copy pasted from 12 to 13 which kind of sucks.
