dont know how people can be so negative about this game

if it was FO3 with a new storyline i would still be buzzing, any improvements to gameplay/graphics are just added bonus's.

From NeoGAF:

How big is the game world?
Around the same size as Skyrim. Source: Bethesda. (Worth noting Skyrim was 3-4 times bigger than Fallout 3).

How many lines of dialogue are in the game?
"Many years of #Fallout4 voice recording complete! Just over 111k lines. More than Fallout 3 and Skyrim combined." Source @BethesdaGameStudios

What are the differences between the console releases?
Both versions run at 1080p and should be identical. They are aiming for a solid 30fps.

Can you change the colour of the HUD?
Yes. Source: screenshots.

lockpicking/hacking minigames are the same as Fallout 3/NV

id and machinegames provided support for the fps stuff

(rumor) The higher the difficulty is you set, the more 'Legendary' enemies you will have in the game, which are harder than normal enemies, but also drop better loot.

No official modding support or Steamworks support at launch. Later in 2016 there will be the modding kit for PC, then Xbox, then PS4. (As per Bethesda).

Skills are gone. When you level up you get a point(s) and you use that point(s) to either:
A-Increase your Base SPECIAL stats (by taking the "Top Perk" in the Perk List)
B-Unlock and Obtain a New Perk that you're eligible to take
C-Rank Up a Perk you already have/unlocked (Do note that some Perk Ranks have Lv Requirements).

Strength
Perception
Endurance
Charisma
Intellect
Agility
Luck

Weapon durability is gone.

In Boston city you can walk inside any building without loading screen. Some buildings have elevators up -- during those rides it silently (and quickly) loads. Source: leaked video.

Dialogue: You only 4 options and they all are very short summaries ("HATE NEWSPAPER") and are categorized (Up option is always a question, left option is always neutral, right option is always negative, and down option is always positive.)

I just want to remind people ITT about a huge difference in Fo4 compared to Fo3/NV.

minor spoiler(map size)

Spoiler:
The map of Fallout 4 is about 3 times the size of Skyrim. The reason for this is to make a much more realistic and interactive world, that players can always find new things, even if they have played it for years after release.

This game is going to have way more replayabilty. With new DLCs coming and Mods... if you liked Fo3 this game is 100% worth buying right away and not waiting for a sale.

Is anyone going to buy that "season pass" for DLCs? Does that thing give you some kind of discount if you preorder it ?

Content that's leaked should be in spoiler boxes before the game comes out (though I wouldn't count above screenshots as a spoiler), once the game is released and people start talking about their experiences playing the game they may or may not use spoiler tags.

i'm just kinda dumbfounded that people seem to be mad that bethesda allows people to easily modify their game to make it better.... like that means bethesda makes modders do all of the work? wut?

It's been common courtesy to put most gameplay/story related stuff in spoilers the first two weeks-month or so in most game threads like this in my experience. Think we should continue that trend here. Just "spoiler regarding whatever" followed by the actual spoiler has seemed to work well in the past. I am excited.

Being able to easily mod the games is a great feature that i wish more developers used. The issue with Bethesda though is that it seems like they count on modders doing that and therefor dont put as much effort into releasing a fully functioning and content filled game.

Yeah.... i'm not familiar with any bethesda game that anyone could honestly describe as not fully functioning or content filled

Perhaps I'm misremembering but wasn't Fallout 3 (even Oblivion/Skyrim given their scope) relatively bug free? It's been so long ago but I don't remember it being too bad in this regard at all.

New Vegas was obviously a mess bug wise but that was also Obsidian.

yeah the options i see for that point of view are:

1) hateration
2) forgetting that bethesda didn't make New Vegas

That's good, considering the fact that I mentioned mods in the context of graphics. I've enjoyed all of the vanilla versions of Bethesda games at launch. Still, they're never nearly as pretty as their contemporaries until modders get to working on them.

I don't remember the guy's name, but there's a pretty big streamer who said that he had not seen any annoying or game breaking bugs in ~25 hours of play.

Oh, yeah sorry. I missed that post somehow. I agree with ikes, then. WTF at any of these games not being content-filled.

Bethesda games tend not to have game-breaking bugs but calling them bug-ridden is a pretty accurate description.
