Trying to do a survivor, no power armor, no companions, no deaths playthrough. I've had to drop a couple of characters that died (who puts a bomb in a bathroom stall?!) but those happened fairly early. Got this character all the way to level 16. I'm jogging back to Starlight Drive-In when i unexpectedly get attacked by a couple of mirelurks. I sprinted past them to the Drive-In figuring that the turrets/settlers will be a great help in taking them out. Some idiot settler grabs a stashed Fat Man from the workshop and fires a nuke into the crowd and kills us all. THAT DOESN'T COUNT!@!!

No deaths/power armor survivor playthrough just went tits up when trying to take the castle. Got killed by a regular old mirelurk that somehow got behind me and 2-shotted me.

Haha, respect. I still haven't brought myself to do the final mission and have just been spending a few hrs every month roaming the commonwealth as a ridiculously OP'd badass.

Alright so doing my permadeath, no power armor, no drugs, survivor playthrough and i'm pretty ridiculously overpowered right now. I've killed Kellogg for just the 2nd time and i've been delaying heading into the Glowing Sea for like 8 levels. Going in a hazmat suit is such a gamble cuz one Radscorpion gets you and it's gg.

Glowing Sea has been crossed. Wasn't even hard. Did a number on my food supplies tho. Picked up a parasite (RadAway makes you sick on survivor) and had to drink some nuka cola which makes you hungry too.

Is Far harbor worth picking up? Haven't touched this game in a year or two, thought about getting back into it.

This character was so strong. I did the Railroad quest where you get the ballistic weave. I had weave level 4 and thus pretty impervious to gunfire. I got the Courser Chip and just had to decide which faction to get me in to the institute but then, LIKE AN IDIOT, i decided to finish MacReady's quest to get medicine for his stupid kid. Inside the building there was a super mutant suicider. I heard the beeping early enough that death could be anticipated but not so early that it could be avoided.

I so had the game won. RIP Hugh.

New character Iris (going alphabetical ldo, switching genders each time) was only level 13. I assaulted a gunner overpass position looking for goodies. I thought everyone was dead but there was one more that absolutely lit me up with an automatic laser rifle while i was looting a corpse. I retreated and tried to hide under the overpass while my health recovered but the gunner had none of that and found a hole in the floor to kill me through. gg

You're really making me want to fire it up again and have another go.

Character J down. Was very strong again. Decided to go kill Kellogg. I give Dogmeat a sniff of cigar and when the little cutscene is over it's random encounter time. Random encounter is 4 Super Mutants, 3 with missile launchers and they're like 40 feet away with no cover. gg

Character K did not live long. Got a little bit lost heading for the cemetery for Total Hack (one of the first things i do) and ran into a Mr. Gutsy that 1-shotted me by blowing my head clean off.

I'm certain i can do this but not sure if i ever will.

Character I down in horrible lolme fashion. I set up MILA for Tinker Tom, then missed a step on top of a skyscraper and fell to my death.

Think i'll take a break for a bit. Been playing a ton because i fell off my bike irl and have a broken shoulder so no social life. The no-death survival thing can really make it tense and awesome at times, it's definitely how the game should be played, but restarting and doing the same stupid things again seems so daunting. I'm getting very close to optimizing my perks, however. This last game i tried something different and played with Cait to pick all my locks. Saved me points in P. Seemed to work pretty well.

What sometimes frustrates me about this game is that I have a hard time sometimes figuring out what is an item that you can pick up and what is just purely background images, lol.

Anyone else played ELEX? I've found it to have a similar vibe to Fallout, but it's not massively grabbed me yet.
