Here is the legderdump from this week sessions. I'll post the more interesting AARs as the come, but western europe was mostly quiet apart from the demise of Great Britain (defeated by the combined French and Scandinavian navies) and Austria (whose player left and was promptly dismantled by the various powers).
Countries
Ok, we'll get the "holy **** iberia" out of the way quickly. The Iberian players have continued to cement their dominance of trade and used it to power massive economies. With a combined income of over 800 monthly, both Portugal and Iberia are extremely rich and, as we will see, have begun spreading the wealth around in an effort to affect the diplomatic landscape elsewhere.
Meanwhile, France continues it's exceptionally strong growth with 310 monthly. We could talk more about other nations, but subsidies play such a large part in nation income at this point we will wait for the more detailed income screen.
Caveats here are due on many of the eastern nations, particularly PLC, as they have significant amounts of territory occupied by the great war in the east.
Incomes, Detailed
So, here we get a better idea of what the incomes look like. Although it's important to note that for both Spain and Portugal this screen doesn't substract the subsidies they are giving to other countries (POR is giving ~318 monthly, Spain ~20 monthly). Still, Portugal and Spain are the dominant economies in the game, followed by France, then Scandinavia being supported by ~41 monthly subsidies from the Iberians. Both Hindustan and Qing are also being supported bu subsidies from Portugal.
Armies
The military buildup in France and Spain has been massive this session. Both sides appeared to have entered a cold war after the ending of the Franco-Iberian alliance and have spent vast sums of money expanding their military. Spain is now up to a terrifying 590,000 men, with France at a relatively lowly 421,000 men. No other power comes even remotely close to either of the two powers. The coming war will surely be the most massive the world has ever seen.
The picture is muddied for the rest of the world, as virtually all the central/eastern europe powers are currently involved in a long war (Russia, Mamluks, Persia vs PLC, Ottomans, and Brandenburg) that shows no real signs of ending soon.
Navies
Iberia continues to be dominant on the waves. The Spanish and Portuguese navies have more heavy ships than the rest of the world combined, and significantly more hulls then the rest of the European powers. Sadly, some former naval powers (Venice, GB) have been destroyed this session, so the list is actually smaller than it has in the past.
Leaders
For the first time this week we take a hard look at the leaders screen. PLC has the best leader in overall stats, followed by Scandinavia. But all the major powers have at least one extremely capable general to lead their armies.
Probably the most terrifying officer corps comes from the Spanish and French Armies. Despite not joining in any player wars this session both have amassed truly amazing generals with Spain having a 6/5/3/1, a 5/6/2/0, and a 5/3/5/1. France meanwhile has a 6/5/2/1, 4/3/6/1, and a 4/4/2/3. The coming war between the two super-powers promises to be extremely bloody.
