France ate Burgundy before the succession in the game I'm running now. Definitely rare though, England still has continental provinces haha

Playing as Finland is pretty rough btw. Your starting position is pretty miserable.

some guy on youtube has a 102 part series I've been watching

he's huge as Italy, maintains 3 wars at once pretty consistantly, but wants to switch to noble republic so he's letting some rebels win a province and then win something or other bc their demand is to change government

except he's Reform, and they're gonna change Italy to Catholic, and he didn't notice

and he'll lose being HRE with the benefits it has

entertaining trainwreck though

I had something like that. There was one province in the middle of my lands. I declared war on them, they had some weak allies, but one of those allies became warleader and called france to join the war. Baam gone all my manpower and ducats too make peace.

But latet in the game i got my revenge, got in pu with russia and naples, and I was leading partner. So my bitches went to war with me, and france was allready in a big coalition war.

My Ottoman Empire, to 1745, spans from Ceuta to Macau to Riga, with Poland and Lithuania annexed and Hungary vassal (with all its cores returned by Bohemia and Austria) and most of India.

743k manpower.

Then France declared on me and facerolled me with god knows what super troopers they got.

~1529

Iroquois and Winterfell are my protectorates/colonial nations.

Made 20 year NAP with Russia and left alliance w/ Poland in order to war England. Then, England didnt show due to world cup, but he had a sub. I didn't want to be a dick and take a bunch of England from a sub, so I warred them but only took their new world provinces and made them not colonize the northern area. My fleet is enormous and destroyed around 30 of their light ships and had their 20 heavys blockaded in Ireland. In retrospect I should have taken some Scottish provinces or something but I had just converted to Protestant and had huge manpower and revolt issues. Luckily, the reformation spawned in Sjaeland, letting me converted my huge number of provinces pretty rapidly.

Russia + Austria warred Poland and took like 6-7 provinces and serbia to Austria. Poland conquered all the way down to Turkey area/aq qonalu and sold 5 provinces down there for an alliance with the turks. After they sold them Moscow wound up taking the Caucasus. Looks like Poland + tims + ottomans vs austria + russia in the future.

Other things: Brandenburg formed Germany. Poland formed PLC. Hungary is Polish vassal Portugal/Aragon finish partitioning Castille. Aragon surprisingly strong. Venice taking provinces in Egypt. France colonizing the big southern area in the new world.

I saw the map before but now it isn't working?

It struck me as kinda hilarious how 1800s the map looked in 1526 - no OPMs in Europe, just major powers, forming Germany that fast in a competitive game where other people are probably trying to stop you from doing so seems really lol.

How many HRE countries are there now, like 6?

Heres a world map:

Forming Germany doesn't get you anything except claims iirc, its not like it makes him op or anything as seen by the ledger screens. He is still probably the weakest country overall. He vassalized Bohemia and traded it for the last 2 provinces he needed for Germany, which honestly seems like a bad deal for him since Bohemia the province is amazing, and again he doesnt get anything from forming Germany..

The only remaining non-player HRE state is Aachen. Tuscany and Switzerland are vassals of Venice. Ulm is a vassal of Austria.

Play a strong and interesting country. Castile and France are great choices with lots of historical events and missions that takes you through every aspect of the game other than westernization.

England is pretty interesting too but other than Scotland and Ireland, you probably won't be expanding much territorially. It's possible but probably not worth while.

I'd do the opposite, pick some small, isolated country first. Like Ireland, Scotland, Japan.

You pay an assload of money when you are reinforcing, which is probably a problem since your manpower is low. Only thing to do is let your MP regenerate. Try to save it by getting in wars with alliances and let your allies take the hit, or let them bleed on attrition on your land before fighting. Make sure you only have +1 advisors too. Also don't hire over your forcelimit if youre poor

- Can no longer use Claim Throne on countries with a different dynasty.

RIP forcing PUs

- IA no longer gained when princes convert to the Emperor's religion.
- IA is once again lost when princes convert away from the Emperor's religion.

So forcing religious unity now has almost no benefit? God damn it paradox what are you doing?
