Yes a 7 win draft run will usually be followed by at least one run you are getting ****ed left and right in.

Finally had a 7-0 draft and it was pure memes

Any word on how draft pack allocation is going to work? Not sure how to maximize gold -> set 2 packs.

2-1-2-1. Website details some changes - Omens packs will not be as freely available as set 1.

2-1-2-1 draft and all chests will be Set 1. So Draft is not going to be a good way to work on Set 2 collection.

I'm not quite sure what to do with my hoarded gold now... (~85k)

Of course, release happens to be on the weekend I am going to a friends cabin and completely off the grid. Oh well, I have Monday off at least.

Set 2 will be harder to collect yes, but at least it's fewer cards. Hope you guys come back to the game, I've been playing since you all got me hooked although less in the last month or so.

Somewhat regretting avoiding spoilers. Looking at all the cards in-game now and it's pretty overwhelming.

First deck I craft will almost assuredly be a disaster.

Definitely overwhelming. Since I will be away for a few days I think I am just going to let others do some leg work and figure out which legendary's work and what to craft.

I know the new Champions are looking pretty shiny. Really like the new Hooru champion and am going to be builidng Hooru Control around him for sure.

Bought 1 of each theme deck (not sure if good use of gold, but seemed like slightly better value than packs) + 30 packs & had 4 waiting.

Ran pretty decently and ended up with 5 legendary's. Not that I am good at predicting what's going to be playable but Kothon seems like it can't be an awful snag. Nostrix also probably at least Meme worthy if he can be worked into a deck with echo creatures.

New set seems fun, lots of sinks. Already ran a 7-0 Forge and got a sweet Firestoker

Ended up building around dawnwalker + shepherd's horn. Tried working in Katra, the Devoted and going TPS, but had too many losses due to whiffing influence. Removed all shadow cards and am basically just piling on every decent overwhelm card I can find in elysian. Kinda feel like it's a mistake, as I'm getting the feeling that Vara's favor may be the highest value card in the game now.

Oh, except for maybe that yeti champion. Skycrag aggro is pretty disgusting if you get him out on T2 with charge.

I saved up only 3k gold but have like 80k shift to make decks. So far I've just bought a few of the endless revenge dudes and subbed them into my JPS control deck quite nicely. I think my mono shadow deck gets a lot better now too.

Lifegain is an easy way to crush forge, btw.

I have tons of shiftstone but I'm clinging to it like health potions in RPGs - might need it for set 3! That said I'm concerned that, while this set introduced some cool new mechanics, there's not enough to upend the existing meta and I actually might regret burning up my stone to create underpowered jank. I did buy a box today to support the devs, though that was mostly as thanks for the devs.

Draft is pretty interesting though, much harder to make efficient decks leading to interesting combos.

Ground (grinded?) from silver to master, probably 60% of matches playing some version of this:

Code:
2 Copper Conduit (Set1 #66)
4 Cult Aspirant (Set2 #35)
4 Permafrost (Set1 #193)
3 Seek Power (Set1 #408)
2 Friendly Wisp (Set1 #82)
4 Temple Scribe (Set1 #502)
4 Xenan Initiation (Set2 #44)
4 Dawnwalker (Set1 #86)
4 False Prince (Set1 #356)
3 Scorpion Wasp (Set1 #96)
4 Shepherd's Horn (Set2 #49)
4 Sandstorm Titan (Set1 #99)
2 Beckoning Lumen (Set2 #59)
4 Cirso, the Great Glutton (Set1 #362)
2 Predatory Carnosaur (Set1 #118)
7 Time Sigil (Set1 #63)
4 Amber Monument (Set1 #420)
6 Primal Sigil (Set1 #187)
4 Elysian Banner (Set1 #421)
4 Seat of Wisdom (Set0 #63)
Other 40% was combination of argenport aggro and skycrag aggro.

Played one draft before I ended up just dumping gold into packs. Ended up in hooru, going 3-3. The common that gives you a fast spell silence/kill flyer ("Bring Down" I think) felt torch-level strong.

Bring Down is pretty sick (at least it seems that way I haven't played it tbh). I like the idea of an overwhelm deck, probably will try it out once I burn through my gold and amass a better set 2 collection. As promised I finally bought some gems and got a box since drafting will be less efficient for set building.

Speaking of Bring Down, im really into Hooru at the moment, think I'll craft a set of Kothon.

Forge gives a nice amount of new packs and extra gold when you rank up and it's very easy.

I want to make a deck with the "get a copy of any transformed enemy" legendary. I crafted a few. Is the deck only viable with some carnosaur action, too? hmm.

I also ended up deciding to just dump gold into packs. Will start saving gold up for events from here. Maybe this weekend will have a decent event to help us kick start our set 2 collections.

Will start doing drafts later on once I am more to the point where I just want to be earning shiftstone to buy the legendary's I need.

Started with a Xenan Lifeforce deck that only used 1 set of legendary's and it seems good but I can tell it won't be a Tier 1. More like a Praxis Token type deck, pretty prone to board wipes and silences.

For those like myself that missed the announcement the first time around, they reset gauntlet/forge progress. So there's another path for a few relatively easy packs if you don't want to just buy them.

First brew I have come up with that seems to be holding out in ranked play. Total meme-deck though and not expecting this to be anything Tier worthy.

Basically the all stars from Lifeforce+Lifesteal brought together and putting our freebie promo card, Oathbreaker, to use.

3 Inspire (Set1 #129)
3 Annihilate (Set1 #269)
4 Temple Scribe (Set1 #502)
4 Vara's Favor (Set0 #35)
4 Ayan, the Abductor (Set2 #204)
3 Extract (Set2 #155)
3 Slay (Set2 #236)
2 Stand Together (Set1 #334)
2 Banish (Set2 #207)
4 Karmic Guardian (Set1 #341)
4 Katra, the Devoted (Set2 #208)
4 Xenan Fanatic (Set2 #162)
3 Bloodcall Invoker (Set2 #211)
3 Lumen Defender (Set1 #115)
4 Oathbreaker (Set1 #521)
5 Time Sigil (Set1 #63)
1 Amber Monument (Set1 #420)
3 Justice Sigil (Set1 #126)
1 Emerald Monument (Set1 #422)
5 Shadow Sigil (Set1 #249)
3 Seat of Progress (Set0 #58)
3 Seat of Order (Set0 #51)
4 Seat of Mystery (Set0 #61)

Next step is trying to figure out how to make Champion of Order work. So far I'm finding it hard to get off but going to keep brewing. I am thinking of reworking it from being in a control deck to being the finisher in an aggressive/midrange type build, hoping that the opponent will have exhausted their removal by the time he shows his face.
