simple question: to obtain enchantments i have to pull them off existing items that have the enchanted property i want right? and once i do that the item is destroyed but i get to keep that enchant "skill" forever for future use?

for enchantments just pickup ****ty magic items like the mace of -10 stamina...
u get a new sick weapon like every quest almost so its no big deal to destroy ur current items

Did anyone else find the mages guild quest line really short? I just completed it and have only 12 quests in the stats. Have I missed a bunch somehow?

thing is none of the items i'm using have enchantments lol.

i haven't really looked into enchanting until now and i passed up a lot of those special effect items along the way cause they were junky 2 hand weapons or whatever that were taking up inventory space lol

ok about the azura quest:

the mages guild was pretty quick, seems like everyone at the college gives you unlimited side quests once its over though... like dumbeldor, i mean, the main teacher guy, if you talk to him he says theres a rapture you need to go close with the staff of magnus, but you dont even need the staff

Im creating a new challenging character:

-Max difficulty
-No smithing/enchanting
-No impact perk

Maybe he means the stun perk for double destruction spells or I believe there is something similar with shields, though I'm not sure.

I'm finding the fights to be frustrating because I either kill everything really easy or just get ROFL stomped with a 1-shot kill. I can reload the same fight 10 times and it can either go smoothly as possible where I take 0 damage or look totally unbeatable. I'm playing a mage based sneaky character so my armor is almost non-existent, which leads to this effect I guess.

I wouldn't mind rerolling a light or heavy armor Ranger character that uses bows and Sword/Mace + Shield up close. This seems like it would lead to a really immersive (is this a word? It's underlined in firefox) experience and make the battles really fun. I love sneaking around and casting spells just like the next person, but the battle mechanics seem really good for melee battle.

so my one handed skill is showing up red and has been halved and despite me not having any negative active effects. i think this character that i put 30 hours into has been permanently ****ed. awesome glitch imo.

Hmm, must be a negative effect or something because that would be a strange glitch. I have had negative effects that dont show up.
