What list? I just can't win with that deck. I was getting rekt playing Dust's.

It's inspired by Dust's but more aggro. I have Daring Cutpurses and Cliff Racers, no Thieves Guild Recruits or Astrid.

I would say the important thing is to play it as a tempo/aggro deck, not a combo deck. Lillandril is just there as extra burst. Go face early and often, curses are great cheap removal. With Cliff Racers/Ancano/Tazkad/Lillandril, you usually get there.

The Hist Grove nerf is odd. I almost never get the proc if I play it on turn 3 because it usually either gets nuked before I get to 15 or I win before I get to 15.

Unstoppable rage should have been nerfed harder imo

I guess control mage is the big winner? And maybe tokens?

A lot of midrange decks look really strong. Mid sorc, which was already fine and playable (Nerazurri hit #1 with it last month) is definitely Tier 1. Superthx thinks Merric is tier 1 as well.

I'm in the top 10 currently with Hexmage.

Seems like yellow was the only real winner from clockwork? 2 very strong cards in Phalanx Exemplar and Clockwork Apostle. Mid yellow all over the place. Not even sure what other cards see play if any, I guess the purple guard/drain 2 drop and the purple and green legendaries?

Yeah that's pretty much it. Galyn is cool in mid/aggro warrior. Getting 3 extra charges or Sowers is insane.

Mid yellow is really strong and mage is probably the best class in the game right now. Support mage is total AIDS to play against and very strong (Blackfall and Personofsecrets wrote reddit posts about their success with it); mid-mage might be the best deck in the game and token mage feels stronger than crusader to me.

I think the Clockwork set is pretty good but there's nothing overpowered. There's nothing as good as Unstoppable Rage but there are handful of cards in the Baroness/Garnag/Brotherhood Slayer category:

As mentioned, Apostle is better than expected and Phalanx Exemplar is terrific.

Barrow Stalker is the card that might be found in the widest range of decks.

Galyn is very good in slower decks.

Sails Through Storms is in the category of Markath Bannerman or Reive (maybe not quite as good because it's slower); if it doesn't get removed immediately it often wins you game outright.

Laaneth is pretty standard in late-game blue.

Hallowed Deathpriest is pretty standard in late-game purple.

Titan is very powerful, enough to make Factotums a viable if inconsistent archetype.

I think if Northwind Outpost didn't get nerfed, we would be talking about Aldora and Ratway being ubiquitous in red aggro and market decks.

Mid warrior also seems solid if not boring to play. Just mindlessly went on a 25-5 run over the last 2 days to rank 2 with ease.

Announcing TESL Champion Series

In an effort to expand the competitive play efforts of Legends, we’re excited to announce our new series of tournaments we’re working on in tandem with the community: TESL Champion Series.

If the name sounds familiar… it should. The Champion Series has been a fantastic community-driven effort that we’re excited to work with in a more official capacity as we look to expand Legends growing competitive scene.

To get things started, over the past weekend, we ran the first qualifier – a beta of sorts for the remainder of the program. We’re happy with how the tournament played out, but we’ll be evolving the program in the coming weeks.

So what’s to come in the Champion Series? Here’s a quick overview of the schedule and additional details participating players will want to be aware of.

Tournament structure

Our current season for Champion Series will feature will feature three Championship Events, each preceded by two qualifying events. The season will also culminate with a Grand Final comprised of top players from each of the Championship events.

Qualifier Details

Each Qualifier is a 64-person single elimination tournament with the following rule sets:

3 Deck Last Man Standing - This format has players bring three decks to a tournament. Each round is a Best of 5 where when a player loses with a deck, they are unable to use it again. Once a player is out of decks, they lose the match
Deck Submission —This will occur at least two hours before tournament start. Participating players will submit their decks to one of our favorite sites, Legends Decks.
How to Qualify for a Championship Event – From each Qualifier, the Top 8 Players will qualify for the next Championship Event.
Streaming -- We encourage players to stream their matches during the qualifying matches with the hashtag #TESLCS. Working directly with the tournament organizers, streams will be able to feature code giveaways for viewers.
Championship Details

The season features three Championship Events featuring 16 players in a single elimination tournament with the following rule sets:

3 Deck Last Man Standing - This format has players bring three decks to a tournament. Each round is a Best of 5 where when a player loses with a deck, they are unable to use it again. Once a player is out of decks, they lose the match.
Deck Submission —This will occur at least two hours before tournament start. Participating players will submit their decks to one of our favorite sites, Legends Decks.
Streaming – Our organizers for the TESLCS will broadcast the semi-finals & finals on the series’ Twitch channel. Streamers are encouraged to broadcast the first two rounds on their own channel using the #TESLCS hashtag. Note: Streaming of the semi-finals and finals will be broadcast with a 15-minute delay to discourage any foul play.
Grand Final Details

The grand final will feature a winner-take-all format consisting of 4 competitors, 3 of which being the 1st place finishers from each of the preceding Championships.

The fourth competitor will be decided by Champion Points, which will be distributed at all three Championship events! At the end of the third Championship, the player with the highest cumulative Championship Point total will be automatically invited to the Grand Final.

Championship Points will be awarded as follows:

1st Place - Automatic invitation to the Grand Final
2nd Place - 7 Championship Points
3rd/4th Place - 4 Championship Points
5th-8th Place - 2 Championship Points
9th-16th Place - 1 Championship Point
Schedule

The full schedule for this season of the TESL Champion Series – including registration dates – is listed below.

Registration opens the Wednesday prior to the upcoming qualifier and closes on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm ET.

IMPORTANT: Making the top 8 of a qualifier and qualifying for a Championship will prevent you from playing in the other qualifier for that Championship, although you are welcome to play in qualifiers for the next Championship! Winning a Championship and locking your place in the Grand Final will prevent you from playing in future qualifiers and Championships. This is to ensure that the maximum amount of players are able to participate in and attempt to qualify for these events.

Also, allegedly an expansion announcement sometime in the next week, so new expansion likely before the end of the month given how quickly they usually drop following announcements.

I can't recall the last time I saw anyone from my friends list online :/

I still log in once a day for the daily reward but I only play once or twice a week now. I think the luster of CCGs has finally worn off, plus I have PS4 now which is just more fun in general.

I do have a bunch of gold and soul gems, though, so maybe I'll give the xpac a peek.

I'm still on almost daily although I mainly play at work and usually get the stupid friends list bug where it doesn't show up.

ok, so red/blue/green (dagoth) seems really strong, and theres a ton of ways you can build it. Midrange/aggro-ish, controlly, mid-merric, etc. Theres so much cycle in those colors and tons of strong prophecies and tempo cards.

Just completed the first batch of puzzles, they were mostly fun. Is there any point in doing the others? I have plenty of gold, but why would I spend 1500 of it on 5 packs and enough soul gems to craft two commons? Terrible value.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends Quote
04-10-2018 , 02:54 PM
I think a lot of people have literally tens of thousands of gold saved up and nothing to spend it on
The Elder Scrolls: Legends Quote
04-10-2018 , 10:28 PM
Yeah I can see that somewhat, they don't release 4 xpacs a year or whatever it is like HS so there's not as much to spend gold on, but still, 15 pack > 5 packs plus 20 gems. The target market there must be people who like the puzzles but are also bad at math.
