solo arena seems super RNG in how difficult your opponent is.
I got the forgotten machines one at rank 8 and its basically 1% that you win with any deck.
basically they get free mechs every turn and every mechs they play have +3 (and later on they add a second support so they get 2 mechs per turn and theyre all +6/0)
all of their cards are mech too of course...

I breezed through the first 7 of those with zero problems, even had like 3 games where my face didn't get a single hit. Then I got to the dwemer machine dude and promptly went 0-3
Still haven't finished it. Made another run at it last night and went 0-3

It was just pure luck, I think, that I chose to do him last. If I'd tried him first I'd have gone 0-3 for sure the first time. I don't remember what deck or which cards I was even using but I could play that match probably 50 times and lose every one.

I'm talking about the very first time I did it, which was immediately after I finished the tutorials. Dwemer Dude was the last one I fought. I had beaten all the others, and you can't fite Da Boss until you beat the others.

Never mind I see what you were saying now
Either way I'm going 0-3 against that guy regardless of what order I'd have fought them in, it was insanely easy to beat the others while impossible to beat him.
Of course I went 0-3 against three different opponents in my next run

i think the only competitive red right now is red/green (called archer).
Its also the cheapest tier 2 (or better) deck possible afaik.
The top ones that are a bit more controlled usually use a ton of legendaries with high magicka costs bombs (mostly purple with ramping magicka but there are also some mage control).
Yellow seems to be all over the place with many archetypes.
Blue also has some combo spells-to-face for kill if theyre not built for control.
Again, im still a newb. But a newb with almost 300 games now
