I've been playing this since open beta and find it way more balanced and skill intensive than Hearthstone. I've hit legend 3 months in a row now with multiple decks so the diversity in the meta is definitely a welcome change from the current state of HS. Right now face aggro, midrange, control, ramp, and combo are all viable and can be used to climb the ladder.

This may seem true at the start but a lot of the best cards are 2s and 3s. Fighters Guild Recruit, Daring Cutpurse, House Kinsman are some examples and all happen to be green.

I saw a lot of people in Kripps chat saying red was bad which is pretty misinformed. Archer, which is the red/green name, is a Tier 1 deck and has been for some time. There's also a red/blue combo/control list that a couple of the top players used to get to #1 legend this month.
Green is probably the best color at the moment but there really is a lot of balance between all of them. I've taken pretty much every color combination to 7 wins in arena and there's no time when I'm disappointed having to play a certain color combo.
If you guys have any questions about the game I can try and answer them Also, here's a great site with tons of decklists and descriptions.
