Predictions:


Sony:.... Seems like a good idea to not show up to the biggest show involving games... suuuurrrreeee.

I got nothing on this one, obv going to have their own thing later but you got me on how it helps to not get all the eyeballs you can in one spot and show off your stuff. See if it pays off in 2020.

Prediction tho: Sony trolls MS on twitter at least 3 times during the weekend.



MS: OK, you're all alone on stage and what do you do? TV, Sports, TV, Sports, DRM. **** DUDE WHY... Oh wait that was like 5 yrs ago. So MS has a chance, basically all alone, to announce something new and cool. Seems like we're getting a cloud only console which could be interesting to someone like me, where games pass is a thing I enjoy and as 5G cell service comes into fruition, playing games on a long car ride sounds good to me as long as it works. Also looks like we're gonna get a standard higher end home console. This it where the money is imo, while streaming is the future no doubt people still wanna put the disc in the console and play at max settings with no lag. Really hope they show this thing off in full, but prolly just a few mins with the promise of things to come. Specs will be front and center tho.

PLZ GIVE ME HALO AND LET IT BE GOOD. **** COD. Sure it'll be there but lets see some actual gameplay from xbox next. Prediction: We'll see no more than 5 mins of new halo in action and they will set up a Halo themed event of which to show it in full later in the year.

Looks like we might be getting a new Fable, cool never played it but seems like the first 3 we're good at least.

Prediction: Cyber punk will be in this show but will only be on stage for <5 mins.

Aggressive Prediction: We get the official names and launch dates of both of MS's new consoles... And their prices.


Nintendo: Just give me Super Mario Maker 2 already. Holy **** that games looks good. We know we'll get an update to smash ult. We know splatoon 2 is going to be there.

Prediction: Metroid Prime 4 will be shown off and we will get a release date. Bonus: Release date is November 2020

Seems like I've been seeing a remix of the switch is going to come out at a lower price point and less features? We'll see if that thing is there.

100% Lock Prediction: Reggie Fils-Aimé comes on stage, but not out of retirement, to announce something to do with fitness for the switch. My body is ready.



Really feels like this one is MS's to lose? And the only way they do that is shoot themselves in the foot, which is prolly gonna happen.

Didn't Metroid Prime 4 just basically get reset and is now years away?

This seems like it could be a good year for game announcements since there are relatively few AAA games announced for the future. After this springs game releases the AAA schedule is now basically empty.

Looking forward to more Cyberpunk 2077, people seem to think we'll get a release date this year.

The new game I'm looking most forward to seeing is Square Enix's Avengers game. They've been working on it for a few years and hopefully it turns out good.

Also looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2 (this might not show up at E3). It would be cool if Microsoft announced the first game in the Master Chief Collection for PC is out but they haven't even started taking preorders and I don't see them passing up on those.

I've also seen a few people predict Bethesda will "win" this year and my thoughts on that are, "Based on ****ing what?"

Kind of E3 related - Google announcing some Stadia stuff, including launch/game/pricing details, Thursday at 9am Pacific.

Not a lot I’m interested in this year especially with Sony sitting this one out. They don’t really have anything happening right now though. They don’t need E3 anymore. Tlou2 is next year, PS5 the year after that. All the big things last year already released I think.

And If that smarmy **** Todd Howard comes out begging for forgiveness and admitting they’re ****, Bethesda might get a participation trophy at best....

Slipped my mind earlier but also looking forward to seeing more about Beyond Good & Evil 2.

That was perhaps the biggest missing of an open goal I've ever seen at an E3. Terrible.

Cyberpunk looked amazing tho. Elden Ring is surely superb also, but didn't show much.

The Bethesda conference is ****ing embarrassing.

Details?

Crowd was filled with employees/shills loudly cheering every mention of everything Bethesda. Including Fallout 76, Fallout 76 Battle Royale, some free piece of content for Elder Scrolls Online. The audience was the ****ing worst, treating every mention of anything like Keanu Reeves just walked out. Standing Ovation for Todd Howard. Cringeworthy "fan" video segments saying what Bethesda Games mean to them. Spending multiple segments in 2019 highlighting mobile games. With their anemic content their press conference was as long as Microsofts.
