I think randoming lost a lot of its draw when they removed the gold bonus a long time ago.

I used to random basically 100% of the time when it was a free +250. The new update is a massive improvement in every way if you're not in the nosebleed MMR range. I hear the mid/safe players up there are not happy with queue times. Luckily, I'll never be good enough to care about that.

1st game of the year/patch and theres no mmr decay... have to play uncalibrated with top 2k NA lmao. first game we get a rager earhtshaker who buysback at 10 minutes and runs down mid to feed... oof we got destroyed (i played bad too)

second game we get an ursa who locked in "hard support" and he jungled whole game... oh and did I mention mother****in FEAR himself was my support in lane. FeelsGoodMan . But lost (blame ursa)

Well Kirby, if it makes you feel any better I heard that Fear had hard support Ursa Jungle bear in one of his placement matches so happens to the best of us

I currently have a 47 hero theoretical mid pool

TI coming up, the excitement is real.

I refuse to believe I will ever witness an event as immortal as TI8, but I have high hopes and I think in general ti never disappoints.

My bold prediction is I expect China to show the world how it's done with two Chinese teams in the final.

It's very risky and honestly kind of dumb to make so many updates to the client right before the biggest tournament of the year. Alliance probably won't place very high since 2 of their players used one of the features Valve removed (the side pop-up inventory when clicking on other heroes).

Also gotta think a lot of the players will be pretty tilted since their solo queue training experience got changed, granted they're probably scrimming mostly but am sure they still would be playing the occasional pub for practice.

Oh nm they changed unit query back, still though the players must be tilted from all these last minute changes.

Well they reverted it back but definitely it would have affected those players. Muscle memory takes a while to change and for sure they would still be trying to use their unit query panel if Valve didn't revert it.

Or if referring to me thinking Alliance had a shot at placing high in the first place, well true lol.


New matchmaking report: Love the faster queue times but omg the reports are insane. I keep getting reported despite trying really hard... think it must be the fact I mute everyone most of the time. No idea why this is so offensive because at the skill level I'm at (Legend rn omegalul) communication doesn't really make a difference, ppl should be focusing on playing the game well first !!
