Just had the thought that auto chess with actual chess pieces could be really fun. Not exactly sure how it'd work.

How does positioning with in auto chess? Is the center of the board as important as it is in regular? Guessing not

KOTL refresher orb is total **** now? Really needed to be changed tho, had a game today where once KOTL got refresher we basically won completely from that, pretty nuts impact for a support hero. Was like 10 seconds of virtual permastun on 3 heros+ multiple times lol

Lich Ursa Sven Visage all got pretty big nerfs

Dota Chess TI1 incoming? I feel like there's 0 chance we don't see a Dota Chess tournament at TI this year.

Pretty hilarious to see Dota 2 on Twitch topped by all the famous Hearthstone streamers lolol. Is that game dead? Seems dead. I feel like actual Dota will eventually be less popular than Auto Chess if this Twitch trend keeps up. It quite possibly could already be the case in NA actually, NA player counts are so low FeelsLowQualityPubMan.

Also wonder if Blizzard is fast working on a Hearthstone Chess with the HOTS engine...

Being n1 world at anything is pretty sick, for kirby it feels normal

Haven't played auto chess, watched a good 20min total of streams and read this thread and yet have no idea how this game works (nor do I want to learn).

I dont really follow Dota competetive scene, but I went to ESL Katowice with some friends (Im from Poland), it was quite interesting. One thing that was pretty surprising was how little people were actually there, granted the venue was huge, but it was mb 1/3 or even 1/4 full on Saturday evening. Also, it kinda sucked that you couldnt buy alcohol anywhere, I cant imagine that the Dota main audience is a lot of kids.

Other than that, pretty fun experience, though me and my friends were drinking hard, so I dont really remember much abot the actual games

i went to a small dota event last year and they had 3 separate drink stations - 'merican beer, craft beer, and a redbull sponsored w hard alcohol.

Dota balance seems at a weird place right now. I do like this patch a lot, however XP gain seems to far outpace gold gain now. I know gold got nerfed a ton lately but I feel like XP needs to be tuned down as well to stay balanced.

Actually surprised that Alchemist isn't 1st pick with how hard it is to get a ton of gold now. Thinking the new best LD build is double quelling blade and use melee form on the hero, +48 creep dmg for 400 gold, allows to farm very fast. Midas idk if it's good or not right now, it just feels like a huge investment when gold is so hard to come by, and yea obv it will give gold but it takes a while.

Alch is basically the counter to late game carries that need a lot of farm. Most people pick heroes that need just 1 or 2 items to be strong. Alch also struggles a lot in lane, and with the current meta you can't really spare a support to help him at all. And there's also a lot of fighting and snowballing in this meta, not really alchs cup of tea, that dude wanna farm unhindered for like 10-15 mins and then win.

Iyam Alch prefers slower meta because he is incredibly fast, when the meta is fast the disparity between Alch and the other heroes is smaller. Even if he has way more items fighting against heroes like OD and Ursa early is really rough on Alch, as opposed to like invoker/spectre.
