Man this game is really fun. I love the streamlined interface, makes the experience much more enjoyable for me. Like being able to open the shop with a hotkey, and the sound of the shopkeeper coming up when it is within range of being shoppable, and being able to bottle runes with one click, lots of other things. Last night I had a game with 3 other voice chatters and our team work was great, that was very fun for me, just like counter-strike days.

Still gotta learn the courier, I'm not using it at all. I'm confused why they didn't put transfer items as R, and instead the secondary skill hotkey. Also, having items in 3x2 versus 2x3 configuration is still messing with me (no good way to line it up with keyboard hotkeys IMO), though I think I'm gradually adjusting.

I put my item hotkeys on 234567 for easy access.

Then I played a hero with minions for the first time last night and realized that not having multiple control group hotkeys sucks.

Just fyi I realized last night aghs / the hero ult itself doesn't say if it upgrades the hero ult or even what it does. Not sure how noobs are supposed to know without any notice.

Ultimates that benefit from scepter say so on their tool tip.

By scrolling over it? I didn't see anything yesterday. Not sure why also they don't update the cd timer after finishing it.

The upgrades are on the hero ult, not on the scepter tooltip.

Not all heroes have ults that benefit from the scepter.

Yea I know. Playing axe yesterday scepter showed no upgrade. It said my ult cd was still 55 seconds even though after casting it, it showed 15 seconds on the actual cycle animation

I'm not sure what you're asking then. Seems very vague.

The tooltip on Axe's Ult says: Decreases Cooldown

Maybe yours was just bugged?

Also, I think I know what you mean by them not updating the cd timer on the tooltip. The tooltip still says 55seconds when it's really only 15seconds?

Maybe you could post in the feedback forums about it.

I found a bug where if you try to spectate a full server 3 times it'll crash out of the game.

Some tooltips do need fixing.

Axe is one of them.

How do you guys scroll? I do the obvious thing, move my mouse to the edges.

But I was doing player perspective spectating and noticed some people not doing that to scroll. I'm semi-curious in trying different methods. Thoughts?

They use hotkeys (ASDW).

I think it's ridiculous, but it works for some people.

The tool tip says the c/d is 55 seconds, however after casting it the countdown timer that works like a clock shows 15, 14,13,12 seconds etc.

Is steam down? I am logged onto steam but the buddy list says it can not connect. Neither can dota2.

No, I'm pretty sure most people who scroll without touching the edge of the screen use the "mouse grab" technique (not sure what this is actually called). I believe the default hotkey in Dota 2 is the middle mouse button. You hold the hotkey down, and then move the mouse, and the mouse stays in the same in-game and you screen pans (this is sort of how you scroll in a lot of PDF viewers). I use a combination of this and edge scrolling.

Anybody who uses hotkeys is insane.

Yeah mouse grab seems pretty interesting to me... makes sense theoretically.

Is there a hotkey to switch between the game screen and the lobby screens? Would be nice to not have to click between them all the time when I'm spectating.

New patch, but as of right now it hasn't been updated yet:

HEROES
Added Ursa!
Broodmother: Fixed Insatiable Hunger working against illusions.
Death Prophet: Fixed Crypt Swarm not allowing unit targets.
Nature's Prophet: Fixed Treants spawning the maximum amount regardless of the number of trees present.
Razor: Fixed Static Link not showing bonus damage on the modifier
Razor: Fixed Static Link interaction rules.

GAMEPLAY
Fixed Necronomicon truesight not revealing wards.
Fixed bug that was causing item chests in the world to sometimes disappear.
Mjollnir's Static Charge buff used to double hit entity that triggered the effect, now it only gets hit once.
Mjollnir's Static Charge buff will now only fire once a second. It used to have no cooldown.
Enabled Lifestealer and Death Prophet in Captain's Mode.

UI
Added Suggested Item Editor. Access this from the shop, all your new builds will be saved to the cloud.
In multiselection, units with active abilities are now sorted ahead of units without active abilities.
Buying an item while dead no longer puts it in the main inventory. Fixes an exploit of buying items while dead with Aegis or as Skeleton King and respawning with the item.
Instead of dropping items on the ground, we now show an error when trying to buy items from the side or secret shop that would not all fit in the inventory.
We now allow courier to purchase items away from base (they go into the stash).
Fixed right clicking on items in the stash with the courier selected.
Game client will remember and automatically rejoin custom chat channels.

VISUALS
Fixed a bug where ground blood wasn't showing up for a bloody Infest emerge.
Fixed dropped items occasionally disappearing.
Units will no longer run in place after the game ends.
Added victory and defeat animations to creeps.

AUDIO
Illusions will no longer comment on victories or losses.
Witch Doctor will now express his frustration when performing a terrible malediction.

I liked the old Ursa better.

But I look forward to soloing Roshan at level 7 now.

Is Ursa used in the high-level competitive scene? I feel like I haven't seen him played much in pro games, not sure why though.

Man he is SUPER bright in Overpower mode. I love that, makes it easier for me to avoid him
DOTA 2 Quote

He's not in the competitive scene because the hero sucks. Any decent strategic team would render him quite useless. He is not a fast hero and has 0 escape mechanisms. His only spell that helps him slow the other team down is a tiny aoe that is around the hero. A hero such as slardar is basically ursa without the insane burst but better in every other category. Amp for -15 armor also translate much better in the later stages of the game.

Basically in a pro game, he would rarely if ever get any attacks in thus making him useless.

Ursa is decent - good in pubs though when teams dont pick disables.

Yeah Ursa is not a competitive hero at all.

Just a blink dagger pub stomper.
