gg

winner take all tourney with the 16 best dota teams in the world
That's one helluva bubble.

Pretty stoked for DotA 2. Played DotA religiously for a couple years and quit it cold turkey when HoN beta was released since I get (was) so addicted and figured everyone would move over.

Looking forward to /retirelife /gopro DotA 2 tho. Real life is overrated anyways.

For the Chinese 200k is life-changing.

They must be practicing every waking hour right now.

i just realized NONE of the teams in the tourney are from USA, and the prize is in USD - Lol

also

None of the teams are from the US because of dota not being as popular here compared to other countries. On the other hand there are a few American dota players on the European teams invited.

Yeah, I saw the system requirement online and my laptop is at the bare minimum of "recommended" so I hope I'll be ok :\

This looks a lot worse than HoN in my opinion, I expected much better. Could be that this is the lowest possible setting, then it would be nice.

UI looks unfinished, logically.

Looks awesome imo. Pictures are supposedly months old and things have changed (duh..). Can't wait for videos.

HoN is gobbledygook in my opinion. Much harder than it needs to be to distinguish things. /HoN-rant

That was my issue with HoN as well.

Dota on WC3 engine was VERY easy to read.

Imagine poker where the cards were placed on a table that looked like this:

Ohhh pretty. Except it completely detracts from the game itself and makes it harder to play with no true benefit.

I have never played real dota so I can't really say anything about the difference, but I never really have problems following anything in hon, except when there are like 5 blinks going on.

Maybe I will like the cleanliness of dota once I see it.
