If a euro player picks wisp and teleports next to a Chinese player for a kill, his computer will explode. Modern computers cannot process the possibility of a Chinese player being out of position.

Not really sure if it works at the highest level, but in scrims my team have ran a solo mid axe vs. ck/wisp and always seem to work pretty well (maybe cause the other guys sucked bad), just keep battle hunger up on wisp and can quite easily spin them to death with some rungood if they try to go on you.

Then an aggressive trilane can crush their dual/solo lanes, we usually end up snowballing in either mid or the trilane

That. You shouldn't even get near the creeps as a solo axe (or pretty much any hero) once the dual lane both hit 2. Tether stun, chaos bolt, wisp ball nuke thing is a ridiculous amount to survive through and it gets exponentially more difficult as those skills level up.

The dual lane is a lot stronger on the radiant side, you can stack the small camp until you get the poison creeps and then pull the lane. If you clear out the trees I think you can pull the ranged creep from most waves without the poison creeps as well. If the dual is dire I think more heroes could maybe cope vs it but it's still really tough.

Cool, thanks for the tip on creep pulling at mid Willd. I didn't know it is still doable without clearing trees.

I'm not 100% certain about it if you don't clear any trees (I only really see it with a wisp dual lane and it's easy to clear trees with wisp) but my understanding is that the poison creeps keep agro as long as the damage is ticking on you. Anything other than poison creeps is impossible without clearing and even with clearing requires precise timing to even pull the ranged creep.

I'm sure there will be some video online explaining it. Will check it out.

I've been thinking about creating the ultimate beginner's guide video to help new players. The Dota 2 community can be extremely hostile towards new players and blame is thrown around everywhere creating a bad impression for newbies who will probably end up quitting. Gonna take a month or 2 to do a good one though.

I do RQ more than your average Dota player, 40 abandons in 1800 games. Not in this streak though, no RQ or giving up, etc

Oh two of the ten games were practicing naix jungle which I haven't done before

I can't believe that RP didn't hit me bottom when u came to gank early on, somehow I escaped the AOE. Lucky because I was on my way to buy arcane boots too .

Man, fatal bonds is really OP. Didn't even need my ravage really

one time i went for you and you were low, i swear i got the RP off on you, but i think your kraken insta-canceled the stun. kraken imba. don't RP tide.

oh yeah now i remember that RP too. yeah i dunno, i'm still practicing it. i love to do the fake ults but i messed it up twice in that game, not that it'd have mattered in the end though.

I don't see much use in faking a mag ulti at all. Pubs are still disorganized so its not like someone keeps a mental countdown of when your rp is on. Just blink in and do a nasty rp.

Ah I see. Yeah I have seen some pros do it as well and I always wonder what they do it for. It is fun to do stuff like that though. I do it a lot whenever I use a brewmaster.

BTW if you abandon before you pick your hero and before the creeps spawn, you don't actually get an "abandon", the game doesn't show up in your log. In my case last night I wanted to play one quick game before going to bed... didn't feel like it being a PL game...

Not sure if this trick had been mentioned yet ITT. You just being up console and then type disconnect to leave faster

I never see invoker anymore, and if I do, he's kind of a gimmicky eul scepter -> spell spam single target killer. What happened to the amazing, game dominating, using every spell tactically invoker? Thinking of picking him up finally to figure it out perhaps... though still intimidated.

He doesnt control the game like a Magnus, Storm Spirit, QoP does anymore. With early game aggression being the main strategy right now, Invoker just doesn't have the skill set to impact the game like those heroes do. He hits 6 and what? SS, Magnus and QoP all have massive impacts when they hit that 6. Quas/Wex is really weak against Sylla/Gyro/Naix, who are the main 3 carries atm. Wex/Exort is just too weak in general. Doesnt provide anything to the team till the real late levels.

One hero I haven't seen for a long time is Tidehunter. I think its the fact when theres a magnus on the field, you either have one or the other. And if the other team has a magnus, your tidehunter is really weak, and you can't match them in team fight anyway. So his ravage isn't as useful as, say a Shadow Demon/Bane/Leshrac/Lina who provide great roaming and laning stregnths. Tide is just realy weak in lane and can't roam at all. He has a nice slow, but its no stun.

Check out these 2 games for a ridiculously dominant invoker. Iceiceice going ham on everyone.

Zenith vs coL game 2

Zenith vs coL game 3

I think an Invoker has a different role compared to a magnus/qop/ss. He begins to strengthen other lanes at level 2 if he's going exort. He has great AOE damage, disables and even pushing ability. His forge spirits can constantly scout like in the 2 games above which is invaluable.

The problem is he's so damn hard to play at his maximum potential. I am sure he will still be a top pick in the International 3 for teams who can play him well. I won't be surprised if some teams play a Magnus offlane and an Invoker mid.

He's definitely among the hardest heroes to play at maximum potential imo along with Chen, Tinker, Meepo etc. Just don't use key binds because that's cheating.
