Not to make this thread bad with my crusader level play but I do like dota 2 and watched to 9 with my cousins who are in ancient. I had a lot of fun especially during team secret vs mine ski. I like to play position 4 stuff like jakiro, shadow shaman and enhantress. Especially enhantress. I don’t play lol but when I do I exclusively play ahri.

Good choice with Ench, that hero is broken. Can be way too funny when the enemy team is all physical right clickers and has no way of damaging her. Highly recommend trying out Dragon Lance on her if you haven't already, gives 4 super high damage Impetus shots on an enemy hero.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what's going on but I expect that soon everything will be nerfed.

Void Spirit is more broken than any hero in the history of Dota.

Including Gambler.


Void is the most unfun thing about this patch, which is otherwise pretty good imo. Enemy mid first picks it 100% of games it isn't banned and you cannot even really punish it. Even if you beat him in lane with a meme like Timber, he just 1-shots jungle camps on his way to top net worth anyway and then roams the map farming the rest of your team.

I especially detest how he is untouchable/missing off the map during his animations. One hero should not be that elusive and mobile on top of dealing a lot of damage and having their own crowd control. Even if they were to heavily tweak the numbers, it is conceptually a bit much.

Perhaps they can increase cast times or just completely nerf his early game, base damage, armor, ms.

down at 3.0k players cant style and end up just feeding a lot with void spirit. but in party queue where im playing up, he does just take over in early-mid game.

unless he s on my team and is #1 networth at 30 mins, but die-backs and enemy gg pushes dispite all T-2's still up

thought i would hate this patch but seems mostly ok. i really like pubs having a shorter duration.

Highly suggest venomancer in the 3-5 positions. Very easy to win early fights and ruin the enemy safelane. In the mid game his ulti kills everything. Flexible builds so can sure up most weaknesses for your draft except lack of stuns.

IDK dudes, I thought kicking Sumail to keep Arteezy was a mistake but seems I was wrong? I think they are right that they had to do something because clearly Tz/Sumail duo wasn't tier 1. Ramses is owning so hard in the offlane. Abed is kinda meh imo probably not top 5 mid. Any way, this roster looks good and I was never a bleedblue guy but don't mind cheering for this squad.

Tanked 700 MMR and 4 medals since the patch. Couple more to go before I rejoin my people in the Legend bracket.

Apparently I was a one-trick pony with Clinkz and Sky mid. Both heroes have effectively been removed from the hero pool, so I am now lost.

The rating loss doesn't bother me so much as just not being able to find an entertaining hero to play now. Magnus was fun for 3 days until the Aghs got fixed. Huskar would be more fun if he had 20 more base movespeed.

RIP Clinkz. Maybe worst hero in dota now.

I play a lot of dazzle and natures prophet pos 3-4 now. Especially nature's prophet offers a lot of versatility, but so does dazzle, and you can choose to constantly gank, farm, splitpush or team up to push/fight with very different item builds, so it stays fun. Although I guess you perhaps didn't mind just doing the same stuff all the time.

I thought it was what had to happen after trying so many lineups the past 3 years without winning any of the biggest LANs. I don't think Sumail's playstyle fits modern meta particularly well. Sumail is possibly the best individual mid player in the world, but he isn't one of the best team playing mid players.

When sumail is playing well, he crushes lane and then he's usually off the map most of the time farming or looking for kills. He doesn't make space by being a presence on the map, he takes away opponent presence. But killing any one opponent hero does not prevent them from making plays, against rtz or himself.

Compare that to someone like topson, who is visible on the map most of the time, especially in the early phases while being super aggro and far up the lane. Topson forces opponents to deal with him, which makes space for ana, because it will usually be the 4 from Ana's lane who rotates in the early game to zone/gank mid.

This rotation inevitably makes space for ana, regardless of how hard his lane is countered. Topson is like a magnet who draws enemy attention to him, and if you're not ganking him, you're going to lose the game because of how much farm and map control his aggressive positions gives. But if you are ganking him, you're letting ana farm, and that often goes fast as OG loves heroes like Magnus on Ceb.

Topson doesn't need to dominate to set up OG for the win, that's just a bonus (or a favorable trade off, in case the opponent focuses on ana), whereas any time Sumail dies or isn't ahead, his team's chance of winning dwindles significantly.

Sumail isn't the greatest at being sacrificed or sacrificing himself for his team, I think he's best when the team plays around him and he can scale, but the meta today is very centered about a true pos 1 safe lane carry (which OG brought back to life at TI8 when most teams played with a mid-hero as their true late carry).
