I think you can sell the gold for money. Also, if you haven't joined a raiding guild or a steady, skilled pvp group, you're missing out on a huge portion of the game

^^ the game really dies if you don't have a guild to stick with through content.

First time in the video games forum. I've played since release. Seen everything in this game and don't play much anymore, from world first progress in dungeons to highest levle arena.

Drama on Shattered hand -> to korgath, world 1st nef kill in BWL, competitive in every dungeon from AQ through SWP. I stopped raiding in the beginning of BC when hydross was hell (raiding = worst timesink ever), but I've seen progress in Hyjal/bt and swp as a ringer

Played mage on 5s, s1 glad on bg6, moved to bg9 for seasons 2 and 3. back to korgath now that the high level arena scene has more or less died. I really liked arena for a while because me and other good players could spend < 10 hours a week and do what we enjoyed as well as earn gear and a high rating.

Also have a ton of characters for sale. As arena teammates have come and gone and class comps changed we've got a ton of well geared toons just sitting around.

Wow, check out the new promotion at the top of the page:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/index.xml

I'm thinking that it might actually be worthwhile to buy a friend of mine an account (or one for myself to dual-box) just due to the amount of time I'd save.

You gotta be kidding me. That sounds ****ing ridiculous! Is it April Fool's Day?

Hey clay, if you have any locks for sale, let me know please.

Considering that the first month they buy = 1 month for me, then I'd basically be buying 1 month for 3x EXP + mount + ability to dual-box.

****, I'll do this just to get the mount.

Totally disagree, i found it more fun leveling my first toon to 70. The journey and experiencing new zones and dungeons. The ganking that randomly happens can be fun aswell.

When i got to 70 all off it was a grind and the fun wore off very quick.
- Gring rep so you run the same dungeon 100 times
- Grind the same boring dalies for gold
- Honor grind, do the same 4 BGs, where half the team is AFK and botting so no meaningful PvP happens.
- Arena lol? what a joke that form of PvP is for the best gear.

zzzz quit after 70 if you like fun

The game is just totally different depending on how much time you put in and what kind of content you have access to, as well as timing.

Everything you do pre 70 is old stuff. The fun part of the game for me was being part of server/world firsts in dungeons, fighting over the 1st page of 5v5 rating on bg9 etc. The first few months when WSG just came out were pretty sick as well. way more exciting than grinding my xp bar and lolol exploring new zones and running lowbie instances.

Yes, i'm not a hardcore player that plays the same game 24/7. You probably had a different idea what fun is i guess.

This is pretty much what happened to me. I hit 60, got Outlands, grinded it out like it was my job to get to 70 then it just became the same thing over and over again. Trying to get a group for dungeons was frustrating as all hell, and grinding out battlegrounds to gain honor for better gear started getting old after awhile.

I haven't played in about 3ish months?

I personally think that running lowbie dungeons is a waste of time while leveling. No matter how good your gear is while leveling, it is easily replaced as soon as you hit Outlands.

Who is not excited to clear BT tonight?
I mean, I get it. The game is just so boring for the most part that I don't really think a month or more of my time would be well spent grinding out levels so that I can get to lv 70 and maybe find something that I find fun.

Warhammer will be coming out in 2 months or so, ill probably give it a go. The focus is more on world PvP and big ass sieges. Sounds fun, worth a try i guess.

Yeah, when WoW added BGs, that was really the end of pvp. After that, it was all downhill.

They still want to make it a grind, make it take as long as possible to get gear, I mean, obviously, it's their job. But they're pretty much giving away epics for nothing. It literally takes no skill to get full epics on a toon. (I don't count being able to turn on a pc and log in as skills)

Guess that's why I like PvE. You aren't guaranteed anything. I have been in dedicated raiding guilds both before and after bc. Same thing happens. I get gear, the guild hits a wall, I lose interest waiting to move on to the next thing.

Even now that I'm in a swp guild, what, get the gear there and.. run it some more? = /

Blizzard REALLY wants to make leveling easy:

Our new Recruit-A-Friend program has added features that reward you even more for bringing your friends into Azeroth™. Recruit-A-Friend and earn:

* An exclusive ZHEVRA in-game mount* when your friend pays for 60 days of subscription time.
* 30 Days of FREE** WoW gametime when your friend pays for 30 days of subscription time.

Also, from the moment your friend creates a character and starts adventuring with you (including the trial period), both of you will receive these additional in-game benefits:

* You and your friend will earn triple the experience when grouped together.
* For every two levels of experience your friend earns, they can grant one level of experience to any one of your characters of lower level.
* You and your friend will have the ability to summon each other from any point in the world.

Last night was BT night, but I had a hot date, so I couldn't join. Plus I don't know any of the battles at all, so, y'know..

BAH! F BT, I guess its better then Hyjal at least. Although I really like the boss fights from Anetheron on, just hate the trash waves.

Anyone play on Skullcrusher?

Also have a 70 prot pally, but he's only rocking T4ish gear atm.

Tanked Utgarde last night, the first beta instance. I liked the layout and the 3 boss encounters. The trash mobs were dull. The good news in my opinion is that the early drops aren't replacing epics right off the bat. It shouldn't be THAT easy.
